(One month later)

.

"I will take it away before you stumble... Hold On..."

.

"Hmm..."

.

"I will stay by your side until you survive... Hold On..."

.

"Hmmmmmmmm..... What time is it?" I mumbled from my sleep and raised up to look at my clock. "2 am. What the hell? Who's calling me at this hour?" Then I jumped up. "Namjoon?!"

.

I heard my ringtone blaring into my room and thinking that it might be him especially with our time difference, I scrambled to get my phone. It was on my night stand where I usually put it so I picked it up. Not really seeing clearly, I just rubbed my eyes and yawned as I answered the call, "Hello."

.

But it wasn't him. It was my sister, Lana. "D, are you up?"

.

"I'm up now. What's the matter? Is mummy okay?" My mom had suffered a heart attack and we, her seven children, were very worried about her.

.

"No, it's not mummy," she said.

.

"Oh thank God," but then I thought why was she calling at this hour?

.

Then she said, "It's Nicholas."

.

I sat up immediately. Nicholas is my nephew. He's the first son for my third sister, Kiki. He was currently living in Canada and was enrolled in the University of Toronto. He was a good child but went through so many trials and tribulations with home and school that it took him some time to finally adjust and find himself. For my other sister who was his Godmother to call me at 2am, something had to be wrong.

.

"What happened?"

.

"From what we heard, yesterday evening he got in an accident and is now in ICU in a hospital. He went to a party and something happened on his way home to his living quarters. Apparently when he arrived there, he fell on the floor hitting his head. The workers there saw him, called the emergency number for an ambulance and they took him to the nearest hospital."

.

I was hearing her voice but still trying to process what she just said, "OMG. Did they say what kind of accident it was or how he fell?"

.

"No but they said his injuries are of the nature of an accident."

.

"How is Kiki taking it?"

.

"Not good. She's crying and frantic right now. She's been trying to get in contact with his dad."

.

My sister Kiki and her ex-husband, Andy had two children, sons Nicholas and Alex. Nicholas was their first born and five years after their second son was born. Unfortunately Alex had many health issues and died a week after he was born. Their relationship and marriage broke down after that. It wasn't wholesome from before and after their son's death, it just drifted them even further apart. They divorced not too long after and their other son felt the brunt of everything. Nicholas was literally torn between the two and found himself lost at times.
