"Joon's Dia"

(Chapter 38: Blue Butterfly)

I couldn't believe Yoongi of all people was putting me on the spot, right here right now, in front of all the band members, the staff, the fans present, the media and of course my Namjoon. His eyes never left me and even though I was a bit nervous at Suga's request, I somehow felt more nervous to sing for Namjoon. I remembered when I had first sang for him in the room back in Brazil so I took out my phone and began looking for the instrumental of the song I was going to sing. Yoongi knew very well that I could do all that he mentioned but what was his deal in asking me to show my talent to everyone? Was he trying to out us? Sigh. I took a deep breath and answered him,

"Yes. I can sing something." The fans began to cheer me on and I saw as the other members clapped too.

"Oh really? So what will you be singing for us today?" Yoongi grinned again and put his hand on Joonie's head as he was still standing up watching me. Namjoon was just mesmerized and was just focused on me.

"Is it okay if I put on the music for it?"

.

Yoongi laughed, "Why yes. Sounds like you came prepared."

I laughed back and said, "I have a lot of music on my phone that I sing to all the time."

WOW! I was answering him as though I knew him. Be careful girl so I kept quiet until I found the song. I looked up at him and asked, "You ready?" And he nodded.

Then he told the crowd, "Let's give it up for..."

.

"Dia..." I had to say that name so that no one would know it was Blue singing. LORD! Yoongi is such a sell-out. Note to self: Kill Yoongi first then ask questions later. The crowd gave me a nice applause and I heard some of them grousing. I guess they were hoping to do something like this too but little they know that Min Yoongi knew me personally and I'm sure did this on purpose.

I looked at my phone then up to Namjoon's face. When I smiled he smiled back at me and then I pressed the play button. Because I was used to performing at various events, I already had the karaoke versions of the songs I would sing. This was my favourite BTS song: Butterfly. This version however was the Prologue Mix from BTS's album: The Most Beautiful Moment in Life: Young Forever. This version was only the vocals and it had a softer style and lighter music than the original. Sorry Rap-line this one was vocals only.

As soon they heard the music the boys sat back and sighed. Yes I know it was detrimental to sing a song by the actual artist and have them critique you but I knew what I was doing. Some of the ARMY's made out the song but most of them didn't know this version. From the moment I started singing the entire room got quiet. Yoongi who was standing, slowly sat down in his seat while watching me in awe. I had done this song many times before and even though my Korean for the original song was excellent, I would usually sing the first half of BTS' 'Butterfly' in English. It was different and I knew I had everyone's attention, even the boys sat up as their eyes and ears were glued to me. I was sounding really good. When I reached the chorus I continued singing it in English and I saw as the guys were in total shock. They were stunned but thankfully in a really good way.

Jimin wiped his eyes and Tae was swaying with the song. Hobi, Jin and Suga were seriously focused while my baby was totally captivated as he had such a lovely smile on his face with his hand over his heart. When the second verse came up I sang it in Korean. I got a loud cheer and just before the chorus started, the crowd began to sing with me. I smiled and as I continued singing I saw as Jimin got up and he took his mic and started harmonizing with me. OMG! This was a dream come true. Then the rest of the Vocal Line: Tae, Jin and Jungkook, began to sing the hooks softly too.
