I hushed my sister and carried her to where Yoongi and Ari were waiting in the car. Ari was in the front seat and I pushed K into the back as I entered. She wasn't too thrilled to be man-handled like this but I was mad: fucking pissed off that she was a part of this shit.
.
"KIM NAMJOON. Are you fucking mad? What the hell is wrong with you?" She lashed out at me when I couldn't get her in the car faster.
.
"NO YOU BETTER EXPLAIN YOURSELF RIGHT NOW!" I know I was shouting but she needed to hear the seriousness in my voice. I was more fucking mad than her than anything else right now. How could she do this to me? To Blue and I.
.
Yoongi tried to be diplomatic about it, "Namjoon. Kyung. You both need to relax and just explain. Don't shout; just talk." And my brother became our mediator. "K. Tell us exactly what happened? And where is Blue right now."
.
K looked at him and I saw the tears in her eyes. She was about to burst and I grunted. I was fed up of this shit but Yoongi calmed me down telling me to give her a chance to speak.
.
K then looked at me and said, "Blue's on her way back to her home. Namjoon you have to understand, I had no choice. They made me contact her and take her to see the Elders."
.
"You mean lure her into a dragon's lair and then force her to obey our commands. Is that more like it, sister?"
.
She began to stutter, something she only did when she was super nervous. It was a family thing: I would rub the back of my head while she failed in her speech. "I...I... didn't know what was going to happen. Mom and dad were actually pleased about her. They told me that they loved Blue and wanted to surprise you with the Elder's acceptance of her. But...ttt when we reached there, the tables turned on us."
.
"What do you mean exactly?"
.
"While we were heading there, dad was talking to someone on the phone and it sounded like they were glad we were coming. But when we reached, they had an entire panel there waiting for us... Well waiting for her to be exact. We sat in the back as they interrogated Blue. Oh God, Joon. It was horrible. At first they told her how much they admired her and they could see that she had the grace and nobility of what a Korean Noblewoman should be like. But they laid out the terms of her not being Korean, the fact that she had been living in sin with Dominic her ex and it caused her to have an offspring out of wedlock. When they tried to chastise her for her job as a teacher, she began to tell them of her multi-million business. That was the only thing I think that impressed them."
.
I was hearing K and not believing her. Those old bastards weren't really concerned about her family heritage or whether she had a bastard child, they were concerned about money and how much they could make out of this. This was why they wanted me to marry this Yi girl. That family was loaded with old money. But Blue's money even though was worth hundreds more than our own currency wasn't good enough for them. I wish I could strangle them right now.
.
K continued, "When they realised that they weren't getting through with their excuses to her, they made it look like Blue was bribing them with her money to get you. They knew exactly how to twist their words to play with her emotions. But she was furious because she made them out for what they were worth: A bunch of old fogies who just wanted more money into their pockets."
