Max's POV:
Right now I'm picking El up so we can go to the mall. Apparently there's a new store opening in a couple hours, although I'm not sure what it's gonna be yet.

Maybe a new Nike, or Adidas, or perhaps it's just a shitty pet shop. I've noticed a lot more dogs around the neighbourhood.

Anyway, I arrived at El's cabin and knocked on the door. I heard fast footsteps and and she opened it a few seconds later.

"Max!" She said, sounding excited as she hugged me.
I laughed, "El!" I said, matching her energy.

We pulled away and Hopper walked over as El walked down the steps. "Hey Max. Apparently it's gonna rain in a couple hours, so make sure you bring a coat El."
"But-"
"No buts. Come on." She groaned and trudged back inside, wearing her coat as she walked back out. "Thank you." He said teasingly, chuckling at El's grumpy face. "Go on, you girls enjoy yourself. Remember to lock the door when you come home kid."
"Bye Hop." I waved, walking down the street with El's arm linked with mine.

"Come on grumpy head, cheer up." I smiled, putting my arm around her shoulder.
"I bet it's not even gonna rain." She huffed as we saw the mall in the distance.
"Even if it doesn't, your coat will keep you warm. It is winter after all."
"You're not wearing a coat."
"I'm wearing a jumper instead, you're just wearing a T-shirt. Why is that by the way?"
"Well first of all, you've stolen my favourite hoodie, and like 50 others, and Will's taken the rest!"

I laughed, "You're never getting them back. But, we can buy you a new one." I offered. She shook her head, "Eggos?" I asked.
"No."
"Woah, something is definitely wrong if you're refusing eggos. Tell me what's bothering you." I teased.
"Nothing." El answered.
"Come on, you can tell me anything."
"I know, but it's really nothing."
"You promise?" She nodded, "Pinky promise? You know you can't ever break those."

I put my pinky out she she did the same. We made a pinky promise and I decided to tickle her in hopes to cheer her up.

She's extremely ticklish, and I know the best spots. I tickled her side and she quickly jumped, pushing my hand off as she giggled.

"There's that pretty smile." I said.
She blushed and put her hands over her face to hide it. I laughed and pulled her closer to me.

A couple minutes later, we reached Starcourt. "New shop first?" I asked.
"Duh, I hope it's a clothing store."
"I swear if it's another one of those yoga classes-"

"Hey!" Steve shouted from his car just a few paces behind, "I take part in those classes!"
"Steve?" El asked, confused, "Why are you outside, in your costume?"
"Actually Jane," He said, making her laugh, "This is a uniform. The ladies love it."
"I've seen Robin's board." I answered, which earned me the middle finger.

"But it still doesn't explain why you're out here." I continued.
"Oh, Robin had me get something- you know..." He said, suddenly embarrassed.

We walked over to his car and he hid something behind him. "What are you hiding Steve?" I asked.
"Is it girly stuff?" El asked, confused.
"What, no!" Steve answered, his face red.

She quickly ran behind him and gasped at what was in his hands. "Nancy?!"
"What the fu-" I began as he sighed and showed me what he was hiding.

It was a whole poster of Nancy. Pictures, paragraphs, colours, I'm not exaggerating in any way either.

"God damn Steve, are you really this obsessed with your ex?" I asked, crossing my arms as El walked back over to my side, still looking at the poster.
"No! It's Robin's, not mine! We made a bet to see who could make the best poster on their best friend."
"I thought you two were best friends though?" El wondered. I nodded in agreement.
"We are, but obviously that wouldn't work out since all the pictures I have if her also have me in it."
"That's crazy." I muttered under my breath.
