TW: torture

El's POV:
A few weeks ago, we had found out there was a traitor among us. Someone who keeps feeding our information to Vecna. Our ideas, our location, everything.

A new person, Violet, had joined our party a couple months ago. She was good friends with the boys in school, but I wasn't in any of their classes so I wouldn't know. Together we spent every free second we could in finding who this traitor was, finding and gathering evidence as often as we could.

Max spent the most time searching, she wanted nothing but to kill Vecna, and if someone was stopping her from doing that, she wasn't gonna hold back.

Another week or two passed, and Mike had called us all over to have a meeting at his house. Of course we all turned up, and we went down into the basement. He told us to sit down at the table, so we did.

Mike stood up with Will beside him, and Max sat next to me. Everyone seemed so anxious, on the edge of their seat. But... something didn't feel right.

Everyone kept throwing glances at me, a mix of hurt and anger on their faces. I felt a knot form in my stomach, what was I missing? Had I done something?

"We all know why we are here." Max suddenly spoke up, her voice breaking the silence. "Except for one person." Her finger tapped against the table in a rhythm, the dim light casting a shadow over her eyes.

The knot twisted tighter, something was going on, and whatever it was wasn't good.

"We have found the traitor." Mike said, biting his lip nervously. He looked at Will for a second before raising his finger, pointing directly at... me?

"What?" I asked, confused. "No I'm not, what are you talking about?"
"All the evidence points to you." A low voice said from beside me, looking up slightly so I could see her eyes. They were deep and dark, her jawline visible as it clenched.

I got up, about to retaliate, but a firm grip on my arm yanked me back down. My head turned back to Max as her eyes stared into like knifes piercing into my skull. She held me down, moving her hand down to my waist so I couldn't move from my chair.

Suddenly a bright light flashed onto the wall in front of me, and I realised it was a projector. All the evidence was being shown, and it really did seem like it was me. Whoever framed me, was fucking good at it. The projector turned off and my heart dropped as I remembered what Max had said she'd do to the traitor.

I quickly looked at them all, before looking at her. Panic rushed through my body, she wouldn't do it right? Max would never hurt me, none of them would.

"I'm being framed, don't you understand?" I asked, none of them said anything. "Why would I betray you?!"
Max suddenly stood up, standing behind me. She put her hands on my shoulders, and one of them slowly trailed down to my neck.

I could tell she was furious, her grasp proved it. "Save it." She spoke in my ear, her voice quiet. That's when I felt a sharp pain in my arm. My eyes fell to a syringe, stabbing right into me. And who was holding it? Max.

I felt the blood drain from my face as my hands shook, "I haven't done anything! Why don't you believe me?!" I shouted. Max's cold eyes didn't tear from mine as my own eyes became blurry and dark. It was like something was pushing my eyelids down, and I couldn't stop it.

It all went black.

It felt like I was falling, yet it was relaxing, almost as if I was falling into a deep sleep. This was short lived though, and my eyes flashed open.

I groaned in pain, yanking my arm to rub my eyes, trying to get them to adjust quicker. But, only a clanking noise was to be heard. My eyes drew to the noise, chains wrapped around my arms, leaving a mark, an indent on my skin. They were the same chains we had used to lock Billy in the sauna a few years ago.
