"Nayeon, do you take Y/N to be your lawfully wedded spouse, to love, honor, and cherish, in sickness and in health, for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, forsaking all others, and to be faithful only to Y/N, as long as you both shall live?"
"I do."

She drops off the envelope early in the morning, barely able to make eye contact with you. You look down as she hands it to you, noticing the now faint tan line from where her ring once rested. Of course she had taken it off. You reach your hand out and gently pull the envelope from her grasp, maintaining steady eye contact with her hand. No words are spoken between you and her but that's not unusual. Not recently at least. She glances up and looks you in the eyes briefly before taking off down the seemingly endless hallway of your apartment. You watch as she disappears, hearing the sound of her footsteps grow quieter and quieter until they're gone.
The door shuts with a gentle click and you lean against it, your body thudding as you hold the envelope up to your face. All that's written on it is your name in the top right corner. It's in her handwriting. Your finger runs across the tape keeping it sealed, tempting you to open it but you don't have the courage to. Not yet. Instead, you walk over and sit down on the couch, tossing it on the coffee table where the rest of your unopened mail sits. For a while all you do is stare at it. It's almost as if it's mocking you. Other than a small wrinkle in the corner, it's pristine. Unlike you, it hasn't been through a month of fighting and weeping. Unlike you, it doesn't have to see the cruel reality of life. Unlike you, it's still whole.

"You know, the half-lit neon sign really had me questioning whether or not you were taking me to get killed. That and the fact that this place is in the most shady alley in town." You shook your head and let out a light laugh as you signed the check. You slipped your credit card back in your wallet and set it down on the table.
"I told you I knew all the best spots. You can't always judge a book by its cover." Jihyo shrugged and patted her stomach. "I don't think I've ever left Dub's Diner without a full belly."
Normally you weren't one to wake up early just to get breakfast, especially not at some sketchy diner in the middle of an alleyway. You did admit though that Jihyo found a gem. Despite the shabby state of the diner on the outside, it was cozy and well decorated on the inside. The wait staff was all happy and friendly and the food wasn't half bad either.
"You ready to go? I've got Ray babysitting duty since Mina's at her parent's house this weekend." You motioned towards the door and Jihyo nodded, pushing herself out of the booth. You and Jihyo chatted about nothing as you walked to the car, your hand just grabbing for your keys in your pocket when you heard someone running towards you.
"Excuse me! You forgot your wallet!" The voice grew closer and as you turned around, you felt your breath leave you. Running towards you was the most beautiful girl you had ever seen. Her dark brown hair fell just below her shoulders and she had the most captivating bunny toothed smile.
