You had no intention of going back to Korea within the year since you had gone last year and spent way too much money on plane tickets but this was important. If you didn't go then you'd never be able to tell Jeongyeon how you felt and then she'd be gone forever and things would be too awkward.
You gave your ticket to the lady who was boarding passengers and got on the plane. Luckily no one was sitting beside you and the flight was fairly empty. It was going to be a long trip and thinking about Jeongyeon would make it even longer.
