10. Moving from New York to Korea with Mina

You had lived in New York almost your whole life. Although you were born in Gangnam, South Korea, you only lived there until you were two. You spoke Korean around the house and with your relatives. You grew up in Manhattan and went to school at New York University, graduating at fifth in your class. When you met Mina she was just visiting with Twice. They had KCON to attend and you knew all about it. Being a fan, you grabbed a front row ticket for yourself. During "Like Ooh-Ahh", you and Mina made eye contact. You stared at each other for a few seconds before she had to tear her eyes away to focus on the choreography. The show ended and you were about to leave before someone tapped on your shoulder. You looked behind you to see a security guard.

"Sir I need you to come with me." He motioned for you to follow him through the sea of people. You finally made it after a few strenuous minutes. Being a bit scared you made sure to keep a safe distance because you didn't think you did anything wrong so far. "Miss Myoui is in the back and she'd like to speak with you." You thanked him and waited until he left to search for the girl.

When you finally found her she was sitting down talking to Momo, saying something in Japanese that you couldn't really understand. She immediately stood up when she saw you and bowed to you, extending her hand for you to shake it. You bowed lightly and shook her hand before beginning a conversation with her.

"I'm Y/N. It's so amazing to meet you all but I'm still not sure why you invited me back here. Was there a mistake?" You said all of this quickly due to being nervous and tried to compose yourself.

Mina just laughed and shook her head, looking up at you. "No. I just remember seeing you when we were performing and I just wanted to talk to you. You seem like a really nice person." She sat back down beside Momo and offered a seat by Jeongyeon which you hesitantly took.

Chaeyoung walked out in comfortable clothes and a sucker, stopping only when she saw you. "Ya unnie what's he doing in here? Did he sneak in? Do you need me to beat him up?" She glared at you slightly and you just furiously shook your head.

"No I'm sorry. I'm Y/N. Mina invited me back here. She said that she noticed me back when you were performing." You were quick to defend yourself and immediately felt relieved when Chaeyoung just nodded and laid next to Tzuyu.

"So you're the one Mina was talking about?" Tzuyu asked this with a smirk and tried to push Chaeyoung off of her, only getting her to move a bit. She tried one more time and just gave up after that. Just kind of nodding you turned to see Mina blush lightly.

"I just wanted to know if you were free tonight to roam around New York a little. If not that's okay." She smiled softly and rolled her eyes at all of the other members' giggling.

You looked around the room a bit shocked. "Uhm-uhm yeah. Yeah. I'd love to. Thank you so much. You're sure that I'm not he wrong person?" Mina just laughed and shook her head. She got up and grabbed your hand, leading you around the room to meet everyone...

"Jagiya I'm so sorry. I don't know if I'll be able to make it this time. I'll try my best though." You winked at one of your best friends and tried to cover up your laugh. "I love you too." Hanging up you grabbed your ticket and zipped it into your backpack. Since you lived in New York and Mina lived in South Korea having a long distance relationship was hard. There was a lot of stress and not seeing her every single day took a toll. A few months ago you decided to just move to Seoul and get a nice little apartment near Twice's.

"Do you really think this will work?" Your best friend stood inside he airport with you and looked at you like you had two heads, ready to back away from your wild plan.

"I'm sure it's going to work. I talked to all of the girls and even JYP. They're going to make sure to keep Mina busy. Whenever I land and get near the building they're going to set up a fake practice and I'll be there to surprise her." You smiled at your plan and waited for your flight number to be called. When it was called you said goodbye to your friend and boarded the plane, not ready for the long flight ahead.

You landed in Seoul around seven at night. You stretched when you got into the airport and picked up your luggage before you walked to the car that was coming to get you. When you got down to the pick up area you immediately spotted the sign with Y/N in bold. You bowed and shook the driver's hand, thanking him for picking you up.

The drive wasn't too long and when you arrived at the building you immediately texted Jihyo.

Y/N: i'm here and the driver's parking the car. everything ready?
jihyo: yep. all set. we'll start walking down to the room now. we set everything up for you earlier today :)
Y/N: thank you!! you guys are the best. i owe you one ❤️

You put your phone back in your pocket and got out of the car, leaving your luggage since you'd have to get back to your apartment somehow. The parking lot was almost empty and the elevator went up to the floor you needed with ease. Getting out at the right floor you slowly opened the door to Twice's practice room. You picked a good hiding spot behind a wall and waited, texting Jihyo to tell her.

The lights switched on and all that could be heard was Mina's groaning. "Ya! Why do I have to be here for my birthday? Jyp said that we'd be eating out. I'm already in a bad mood anyway since Y/N can't be here." She dragged her feet across the floor and stood in front of Jeongyeon.

"Well maybe if you get into the mood it won't be so bad. Now just turn around and look at yourself in the mirror and say, I can do it!" Jeongyeon laughed lightly and glanced back to see you, facing Mina towards the large row of mirrors.

Mina sighed and slumped over. "I can d-" She stopped mid-sentence when she saw you and screamed. "OPPA! WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?!" She turned around and jumped on you before you could fully stand up, pushing you down. "I thought you said you wouldn't be able to make it."

You just laughed and sat up, hugging her tightly. "I know I said that but I'm here now and I have something else to surprise you with." You pulled your phone out and swiped through your pictures to find the one you needed. Holding your phone up to her she read it and screamed again.

"Ya! You're here for good?! You're right by us!" She said this with tears in her eyes and you nodded, kissing her on the cheek. The members' awwe'd at this and watched the exchange.

"I promise that I'm here for good. Now I can see you almost every day. I even have a good job already. JYP helped me and found some openings." Mina's smile was so wide and she hugged you again, sighing happily against your shirt.

"I have the best boyfriend ever."

I know I know. The last one was about Mina. BUT. I have a good reason for this. Since I wrote this one before the Christmas special I couldn't change it. I'm almost done with all the members too and I'll use your ideas after! Thank you so much for supporting me!!
