THE SOUND OF THE ALARM CLOCK ringing in her room made the girl shot up wide awake and didn't waste any time to switch it off. She guessed seeing that weird Doctor guy in her room was all just a dream.

Wait, since when do I have an alarm clock? She thought to herself but that was thrown out of the window when she noticed her room.

Her room used to have baby pink painted walls with her posters of her favorite artists; Taylor Swift, Lorde and Avril Lavigne but now it was a plain white room and instead had pictures of flowers. Also all of her instruments were gone. Maybe part of the punishment was to take away the things that she liked.

Getting out of bed and slipping into her bunny slippers, Thea left her bedroom and went down the stairs. Walking down the halls, everything looked the same until she halted in her tracks. The girl noticed framed photos of kids around her age happily smiling, although she never seen those kids in her life.

What the fudge? She mumbled, swore that one of the kids' eyes just moved. But she teared her gaze away from the photos when she could smell something good coming in the kitchen.

Following the smell, she pushed the swinging door opened to see her Geoffrey humming and cooking some food at the stove while Lisa was scrolling through her phone.

"Mom?" Thea spoke up and her mother's head snapped at her direction.

"Thea! What a pleasure, surprise!" Lisa smiled and got up from her chair. "I can't believe you're up early for school."

"But it's only. . ." She trailed off when she noticed there was a 13th hour on the clock causing her to furrow her brows. "Uh. . .what's going on?"

"Breakfast's ready!" Geoffrey happily announced which was weird because Thea never saw him this enthusiastic before.

"Thea, go get your father. He's in the living room." Her mother told. Thea continued staring at them until she went back into the halls to enter inside her father's study room.

Opening the door to see her father sitting at his desk, hearing the sound of the door, the man slowly turned his head. "Thea! What a pleasure surprise!"

"Uh. . .aren't you supposed to be at the office?" She asked, knowing that her father leaves the house before eight o'clock.

"Office? I quit that job long time ago!" He laughed and Thea's eyes widened. Her father founded that company and spent all those years, building it all the way to the top. Why the heck would he just quit?

"Why? That job was your first priority!"

"Yeah. But," Atticus motioned for his daughter to come closer which she did, standing beside him. "My children are more important. Now, I'm finally doing what I love. Poetry!" He held his notebook filled his self written poetry with a huge grin.

Thea knew that her father was into literature during his high school years and especially loved poetry. The father always wanted to be a writer but his parents forced him to focus more on business since it's easier to make money. "Wanna hear one?" He asked and the the girl nodded. Loudly clearing his throat before he read aloud his words.

"Wishes can and do come true
careful to think it through
you might not be what you want
and you might not get through!"
