In which the storyline follows what could have happened at the end of Sasaki and Bakugou's love story after his fate in the manga.

MANGA SPOILERS AHEAD.

For one second, when everything went quiet and there was no more fighting, you thought you won.

You, with the help of Eijirou and Hitoshi captured Gigantomachia.

Izuku had apprehended Shigaraki who was now quirkless.

Shoto and his family had found Touya and stopped him before he set everything around him ablaze.

All Might had killed All for One.

That is an accurate summary of what the news said the morning after. Japan knew that they were safe, that there were little to no villains as of late, and that reconstruction of Musutafu had began after everyone was moved out of the evacuation centre of UA.

But...

They didn't want to mention everything. All the details. They want to keep the public positive, to hide them from your pain.

They didn't clarify many things such as Izuku's hospital status. He lost his legs and is on his way to get robotic prosthetics. Shoto finds it hard to speak to anyone. Kyoka lost one of her ears. Mina's skin had faded grey from her injuries. Ochaco had a hole in her stomach from a stab wound. Kaminari no longer makes jokes with Sero.

Hawks was quirkless.

Your vision had gone.

All Might died in the ambulance.

Edgeshot died for Katsuki.

And Katsuki...

He didn't make it.

You were there, looking for him after Monoma gave you a portal to reach the fortress.

Everything was distorted, so colourless and grey. Images were blurring into one another.

You described it to the doctors as something like what you'd see on a screen if that one cable was about to fall out of the television, but it was far from that. You couldn't make anything out.

When you walked across the field, you tripped over some rocks and fell forwards, scraping your knees and hands. You couldn't see him and you could hear everything and it was nothing.

You couldn't hear his yelling. You couldn't hear his insults. You couldn't hear him calling out for your ridiculous nickname and you so badly want to be called that once more. The silence made your heart break louder until it was all you could hear and feel.

You felt as though it was around an hour after you tripped and crawled on the floor that you found him.

Katsuki Bakugou.

"Blasty?"

You could feel his hair. It was stiffer than usual.

He didn't smell like himself either.

He wasn't warm.

He wasn't sweating.

Katsuki was cold.

"Talk to me."

He was surrounded by liquid that soaked through his hero costume. You could feel it on your shaking hands.

You touched him, and felt for the wound that was causing this. It was right where his heart was. Your hands managed to rip your sleeves and you applied pressure, to keep him all together, to try and keep him from bleeding out more.
