CHAPTER SEVENTY-FIVE
'infiltrate & internship'

"Sasaki [name]. Once you enter the base, you will do what you must in order to find more information, to get the Paranormal Liberation Front to trust you. You aren't just a student at U.A. anymore on your life will be at even more risk."

Your palms felt sweaty.

Heart beating loud in the drums of your ears.

Slidin' Go. A hero working with villains.

He was the only one you've seen so far. Who knows how many more heroes you've admired on tv watching could be involved? You had to admit that this was one of the most gut-wrenching feelings— seeing people you thought were good were actually bad.

Nothing you could do would change that. Society wouldn't even give villains the chance to explain their actions to the public, if it were heroes, you'd say the President would give them a life sentence in Tartarus.

Hawks held onto your hands as he let you down on the ground feet first. "I'm back." He said to the former hero. "I brought a friend."

"Did you go somewhere, Number two?" Slidin' Go asked, staring at the both of you.

"To pick me up," you told him, scratching your temple. "He just said."

"I also went on a coffee run," Hawks added, patting your back. He couldn't tell if your fear of betrayal was causing the harshness in your voice, however, he realised quickly you needed to be less tense. "The one you got here taste like bad mud."

"There is no good mud. Invest in higher quality."

Slidin' Go stood on his tiptoes and his arms on his hips, looking down at you but talking to Hawks.

Does this guy think he's intimidating me? You're joking.
Does he want to fight?
I'm starting to sound like Katsuki.

"We can't have you flying freely around like that," he said. "You must obtain permission before acting on your own."

"Eh? Isn't freedom the ultimate goal of the Liberation Army?"

You took off your visors and raked your hair back so that they sat neatly on your head. "Do you want me to get left back at school? I'm not exactly sure how to get here, you know." You mumbled to yourself, rolling your eyes.

"Be careful Hawks, don't forget my rank is higher than yours." I'm also older."

"Yes sir!"

A voice behind you interrupted the conversation. Skeptic, a B-rank villain. The guy looked like he hasn't gotten any sleep for days. Who could blame him though? The place was a mess.

"You're rank is higher? I don't know about that Slidin' Go." He pointed at him. "In that case, you must possess a high influence to spread the teachings of Liberation in addition to having standing high enough to access the heroes' central information network."

"No that's not—"

"Location data, communication data, real-time conversation recordings. I can see it all through the twenty micro-devices I've planted on Hawks."
