CHAPTER NINETY-ONE
'the truth hurts'

You've never been on a rollercoaster before and you guessed that falling for a few seconds through a dark empty space probably matched that feeling.

Felling the wires and tubes you landed on, your head snapped forward to glare at the doctor.

You were far from just knowing about their antics. You could almost predict them. Occasionally they would bring out a surprise and catch you off guard, but that was rare.

"What the hell?" You were coughing to get traces of the substance out of your mouth, gagging on revulsion. "You're really risking Johnny's health by bringing me here."

Doctor Garaki was petting his small, disgusting Nomu on his lap. "Tonsillitis is fine. I'll just make him a new mouth."

You brushed the dirt on your knees and familiarised yourself with the room again.

The laboratory under the hospital.

The hate you had for this place grew more each second, yet, at the same time, you were growing used to going here.

Placing your hand on the glass tank of one of the Nomus, you stared at the bubbles that floated upwards from their mouths. "I didn't know you guys could use that in school despite the security."

"Your teachers have trackers on your phones, no?" He asked, turning on his chair. "I'm sure you teens notice when you don't have those gadgets."

"Gadgets? What a geezer. Who says that?"

"Me." He laughed and the Nomu in front of you started moving and groaning. "Those are high ends. Some are inspired by some your age and you too have one— but without the extraordinary quirk."

"So a useless monster?"

"No, but if you do what to look for one, a mirror is over in the corner and you can see it there."

"Ouch," you rolled your eyes and continued to wander through the wires. "That was personal." You turned back around, scowling at Garaki. "Katsuro. Where is he?"

"I can't disclose that information."

You frowned deeper. "Okay. Why did you bring me here and him wherever he is?"

"All for One's orders." Garaki approached you and directed you to the glass in front of him. "It should be crystal clear by now."

"I'm just making sure."

From afar, no one could notice. As you grew closer, the image of Shigaraki's body twitching under electricity and the blood dripping from the cables became clear.

This is what they meant when Shigaraki was away, getting powered up for the battle. It sounded childish when you thought about the wording, but in your eyes, it only meant danger. More importantly, you didn't know they had these machines in this facility. You felt your whole body stop at the image of Katsuro undergoing the same thing.

"We didn't do that to him when he first arrived in October," Garaki said as if he was reading your mind. "His body would be torn into four limbs and an abdomen."

This is where you realised their motive. They could never guarantee their victory during any battle. By using your or Katsuro's time quirk, they could potentially change the favour to their direction. And since they couldn't get you to agree with their cause, their only plan was to take it forcefully.

How did they even get this information?

"She sold me out," you muttered, hands tracing over the buttons on the controls. "Didn't she?"
