Henry was very focused on satisfying me, and he was successful. He came quickly after me, pushed over the edge by me crying his name. That really was a thing for him. I laughed into his shoulder, as I regained my breath. "I think I might have blacked out for a moment there", I giggled and kissed him. "You are exceptionally good at that".

"I aim to please", he winked at me and laughed. "I get really turned on when you make those noises. It's so hot".

He kissed me and ran his hand down over my breast. He lingered a little, looking at my breasts. "They've grown a bit, haven't they?" He measured them by how well they fit his hand. "I'm pretty sure I used to be able to fit an entire breast in my hand". He rolled his hand around, making my nipple harden. "There you go again, Mrs. Stiles", he chuckled. "Your body wants to be touched". He looked teasingly at me as he bent down and licked my nipple. I gasped and took a deep breath. He let out a little laugh and laid down next to me. "Can we agree that you still want me this much after you've had my baby?" We were lying on our sides, face to face, so close our noses could touch. He had his hand on my stomach. His eyes were soft as he moved some of my hair from my face, behind my ear.

"Mm-hmm", I nodded. "I will always want you", I said and traced his butterfly tattoo. It was impossible to say how things would be in ten years, but as we were right now, I couldn't imagine not wanting him to touch me or make love to me.

"But like this?" He said and moved his hand from my stomach to my intimate place. I drew in my breath and immediately felt the heat between my legs. He chuckled. "See? This is like..."

"Magic", I finished his sentence for him. He nodded and kissed me.

We returned to our home the following afternoon. Our friends and family had helped sort out our house and the company that had set everything up, had come to take everything down again. There were lots of flowers that had arrived for us. Some from acquaintances and family, some from people in the business. In the middle of all the beautiful bouquets, was a smaller one of roses. The card was a small one and it said only my name, where all the others said both our names. I opened the envelope and read the little card:

I read the card a couple of times, unable to believe that he'd actually send me something like that

I read the card a couple of times, unable to believe that he'd actually send me something like that. Adam had never been the type to use that kind of language.

Henry came up behind me. "Who are the roses from?" He asked before he started reading the card over my shoulder. "What the fuck?" He exclaimed, taking the card from my hand. I turned to look at him, but he was already pacing away with the card, clearly very upset.

"Henry, it's okay. Just throw it out", I walked after him.

"Who the fuck does he think he is?" Henry was fuming. "No one talks to you like that, Ellie. No one. What an absolute wanker." He was pacing back and forth with the card in his hand. I appreciated his concern for me, and as always he wanted to protect me, but Adam was clearly suffering after his accident, and he was not the Adam, I once knew.

"H, come here..." I said and reached out for him. He closed the distance between us and kissed my forehead. He cupped my cheeks and looked into my eyes.

"Never, ever let someone like that make you change the way you feel about us", his eyes were wet and emotional. I pulled him closer, so I could lean against his chest.

"Let's throw out the roses and the card and forget about it". I said calmly, even though I felt the anger in the pit of my stomach as well.

Henry nodded and hugged me. "Are you okay?" He asked, as he tilted my head, so he could look into my eyes.

"More than okay, I'm with you", I said. He smiled at me and went to throw out the flowers and the card.

I read Gayle's message and felt a knot in the pit of my stomach

I read Gayle's message and felt a knot in the pit of my stomach. I loved Henry's urge to protect me, but I didn't want him to engage in anything. He needed to trust me and leave Adam be. I found him on the sofa, looking gloomy and texting on his phone.

"Henry, you can't contact Adam", I said from the door opening. He turned and looked at me, obviously surprised I knew he was trying.

"Gayle texted you?" He asked and put his phone down. I nodded and went over to sit next to him. He sat up and patted his lap. I sat down on his lap and he pulled me close. "I can't stand the idea of him saying or even thinking something so horrible. It feels like I need to tell him that he couldn't be further from the truth". He looked distraught.

"Do you need a cuddle?" I asked him, opening my arms. He nodded and leaned into me. "I know it's upsetting. I'm feeling the same way. But I'm also determined that Adam will never ruin anything in my life again. He's not going to play any part in this", I gestured between the two of us. "He got it off his chest now. Let's just forget him, baby".

He kissed me and nodded.

"I'm going to need a pinky promise on that", I said sticking my little finger out.

He linked fingers with me. "I promise".
