"You did what?" Steve stuttered, in utter belief.

"I broke up with Grant," You repeated. You had never heard Steve stutter.

Steve's heart dropped. You had done what? Broken up with who? This couldn't be real. You were too attached to the man. Or so Steve thought. Maybe he was wrong about you, and if he was wrong about this aspect of you, he might in general be wrong about how you feel. He shouldn't shut you down from your emotions, when perhaps he should hear you out. Maybe, just maybe you felt a little bit of what he felt for you for him. Steve didn't want to risk it, he didn't want to be turned down, he just wanted you close, and something inside of him told him that you wanted the same.

Steve wrapped his hands around your waist and pulled you close to him, standing in between your legs. His lips crashed onto yours. He craved them. You were finally his, or at least in this moment you were no one else's. Which was the same in this moment. He knew that in this moment you wouldn't run off to Ward after being in his hands. His heart felt lighter than before. It made him feel at peace. Steve could feel your lips move against his. He ripped off your wet blouse together with your bra.

You wrapped your hands around him, wanting to feel him close. When you were about too unbutton his shirt, Steve's hand grabbed you holding you in a tight grip. You looked up at him confused, your head pressed against the mirror. When your eyes met you saw the darkness with in him. He hadn't forgotten. He hadn't forgotten all the pain you had put him through, and you were not supposed to get it easy now. Steve held both your hands in one grip. He lifted your chin. Forcing you to be on his eyeline.

Fuck, those big eyes were begging for it. Steve was rock hard, he had missed you so much, and he knew if he could just get a single minute with you, the pain would be gone. Still, you had not earned it. You were not sober, and though that hadn't stopped Steve before, he wanted you to be aware of the pain. This wasn't how he wanted to do it. Steve took of his jacket and began to button it up for you.

"You need to sleep," Steve said, trying to keep his voice as montane as he possibly could.

"Steve, I missed you-" You whimpered.

God, you were so desperate, Steve thought to himself.

"I'm taking you home," Steve forced out.

You were about to speak up, when Steve literally just threw you over the shoulder. It didn't help no matter what you said, so you gave in. You were quiet as he stormed out, walking home. You knew your place and you knew this wasn't the place to be loud. You closed your eyes to not get nauseas. It didn't take long with Steve's speed to reach the mansion and you had to jump off. After all, you shouldn't be seen drunk with Steve your supervisor, especially cause the two of you hated each other. Or so people thought. Steve still had a guiding hand on your back, as he knew you would fall the second, he let go. The two of you walked towards the elevator when it suddenly opened, and a loud voice came.

"Let me help her to bed, you two stay away from each other," Tony's voice scar into both of your ears. You looked at Tony confused, but Steve just leaned back in the elevator, and let you fall into Tony's arms.

"Steve can take me, it's fine, I trust him," You mumbled with your head hanging down.

Tony looked over at you confused. He had been so worried cause you had been gone for a long time, not only that he could see what you had spent your money on, and it wasn't exactly as small amount of alcohol running in your blood. Tony looked back up at Steve who gave him a firm nod. This was weird, very weird. Why were the two of you helping each other out.

"We'll talk about this tomorrow morning," Tony said looking over at you before he carefully gave you up into Steve's arms, who lifted you up. In his excuse that goes faster than walking with you.
