"I don't agree, I believe it ethical to enter a server under the false narrative..." You argued eagerly in the lab as a discussion about grey-hat and black hood in hacking had come up.
"Of course, you think that you worked illegally for years," A jackass in the session said. You could already see that Fatima was about to beat his ass, before you turned around and made it your mission to slay him down yourself.
"While I did that, you were still sucking your dads thumb begging for his trust fund, so before you come for me, grow some balls," you said loud, which got all the other agents laughing.
"Okay, okay, while we do not applaud such language in the lab Y/n..." The professor said walking towards you, giving you a smile before she looked over to the jackass.
"She does have a point," she said, as she continued the class.
You were pleased by her agreement. You knew that she found the jackass just as annoying as you did, but she was in a position where she had to be polite. The session went smooth, like all the rest had. You had gotten approval to stay afterwards, using the tools in the lab to work on your own projects, so when the rest of the class left you stayed. The professor also stayed, seemingly busy with her paperwork.
You were reworking your A.I, the one that you had given to Tony. He liked to call it 'y.n' however, you had not given it a name yet. It was perfectly fine how it was, but you wanted to update it, see if you could fabricate it, so it could have real tissue. Like a screen, but with muscle.
"Hey, I'm just here to drop off-" You heard a familiar voice say as the two of you caught each other's eyes."Thank you, Mr. Rogers, I'll go and file the papers right away," Your professor said, taking the papers Steve had given her. He looked back at her and gave her a nod. He was a bit taken back by seeing you here, again. You must really like it here.
The two of you were silent, as your professor had already disappeared. Steve stopped staring into the empty air where the professor had stood, and rather down at the desk. He placed his hands in his pockets and looked back up at you. You no longer looked at him, or at least that's what you acted like. Steve smiled weakly. You were writing down notes. He shouldn't disturb you. You were anyway going to his session for the first time this term, in just an hour. He had to get ready. He turned away and walked towards the door. Fuck, he couldn't stop himself.
"What are you working on?" He knocked on the frame of the door as he turned around facing you.
You looked up at him surprised. He hated your machines.
He looked... good. He was wearing a light blue shirt, and dark blue smart pants. It was simple, but it made his eyes shine. You hadn't seen him in over a week, almost two now. It was the first time you hadn't seen him in so long, no matter if you were angry or happy with one another, you normally had been able to catch a glimpse. It was weird to say that you missed him. Mostly because you know you shouldn't.
"Tony call's it 'Y.N'" you said shortly.Steve smiled, he remembers.
"What do you call it?" He asked, still standing by the door.
You laughed low, looking down at your fingers, thinking.
"I don't actually know yet," You answered.Steve nodded.
"I don't like to give things a name before I know it," you said.
Huh.
"You don't know it yet?" Steve asked, curious.
"I don't think I know him yet," You hummed as you looked back up at him.
"It's a him?" Steve asked.
"Don't be jealous," You said.
Steve caught himself laughing.
So did you.
"I'll see you later?" Steve asked.
"You will, Captain,"
