It was often said that every room needs someone to lighting it up. For a long time, that person had been you. You always pushed the light on, but you were also the physical carnation of the light. Light words, light mentality, light pressure, light clothes. You shut your eyes.
Dark. Dark is what you had become. It was what you wanted to be. You wanted to be taken seriously, by everyone. You couldn't be like how you had been for such a long time. Less emotions, more like the a machine. You had to be strategic. This was a mission that could define your future, but not only that, lives were at stake.
"Y/n they are all here," Tony yelled through the door.
You opened your eyes softly, looking at yourself. Instead of having Tony moving your old clothes over, you had sent one of his assistants on a little shopping mission. Black turtle neck, black skirt and even black leather gloves. Your hair was up in a tight pony tail, with black high heels. Guess it was time to show your new self to the group. You took a deep breath.

You opened the door to a room full of confused people. Each of them standing in their own separate groups, starring over at the other groups. Tony was the odd one out, standing by himself, not bothering for anyone. The second you had stepped out the door, everyone's eyes had turned to you.
"You may wonder why you're all invited here," you said, your voice cold.
Steve's eyes were burning into you. Still, you stood tall and ignored him, just as much as you ignored the intense stare from Fatima between the two of you and Grant. The girl was definitely thinking this was an intervention, not a work meeting. You laid your eyes on Sam Wilson, who seemed to be one of the most relaxed people in the room.
"Your gathered as all of you will be working with me on project Black Beatles," you said, already prepared for the reactions.
"I'm sorry Miss. Y/l/n, this is an Avengers case, not to be shared with S.H.I.E.L.D" Steve said as he waved his hands over at Ward, Hunter and Simmons.
"Project Black Beatles is actually an open case, it's just that the Avengers have taken it upon them to interfere in what's a government-" Ward fired back before Steve interrupted him.
"It's our job to interfere where injustice happens-" Steve raised his voice.
"Both of you, shut up!" you commanded over their loud voices as you stepped forward.
It hadn't even taken ten minutes before all of them had started to fight each other. They were unbelievable. These assholes, you were supposed to make a team. Make work together. It wasn't your choice to have any of the Avengers here, but you had to take the challenge Tony gave you and make it the best.
"Project Black Beatles is no longer belonging to anyone, but me." You said, making sure every word came out as clear as you wished.
"Meaning that ANYONE, who want to work the case, has to work under me. Listen to this, not with me, UNDER ME," You said, your hand pointing in the direction of your words.
"We will work as a team, but make it absolutely clear – I am giving every order," you say, this time shooting your eyes directly at Steve.
It was no secret they were the ones who would have the biggest challenge following your orders.
"Tony you can't be serio-" Steve started cutting through your eyes, to check with Tony.
"Y/n has given us every lead, and she is correct, it should be a dark op, not Avengers. Your given a chance to work with her, as a representative of us, that's finale," Tony said crossing his arms.
"She is my student," Steve said almost laughing at what Tony said.
"I think I'm a little bit more than just your student, Captain," you said, directly referencing your earlier conversation.
Steve leaned back. What did you just tell him? In front of everyone? He was speechless. You asked for trouble. His fist tightened. He needed time with you, alone. To absolutely rip you into pieces. You were dressed in all black, acted cold, but he knew you had those same emotions as him. You couldn't hide it from him.
"S.H.I.E.L.D has no problem, we would like to help," Hunter said clapping Ward and Simmons on their shoulder, as they nodded in confirmation to Hunter's words.
"James and I will of course help," Fatima said with a smile.
"Whatever you need," Sam confirmed.
Bucky was looking up at Steve, waiting for his answer.
"Can I have a conversation with my student alone?" Steve asks, trying to mask his anger.
"Not if you keep referencing to her as-" Tony said before you interrupted him.
"It's okay, give us the room alone, leave..." You commanded as they all started to leave, beside Bucky somehow hesitant stayed.
