That consequence comes with the pissed-off look that Sopan's father gives him, who arrives not long after his uncle, kindly shares his snacks with him, and disappears, saying that he forgot his ice-hot tea. 

"I thought I taught you better."

"I'm sorry... it was not in my intention to—"

"Not your intention? The wind is better with their intention to protect everything in their path!"

Sopan flinched. The boy further bowed his head. Sopan does not dare stare at his father. The usual carefree father that he knew has turned into as frightening as his first uncle.

Taufan sighs harshly. He always thought that Sopan would end his mission with splendorous achievement.

"Just how did you fail with this simple mission? I believe I already told you many times to make sure the enemy behind your comrade is eradicated first before finishing the front?"

"I—"

"For Ace to be able to impale his attacker when he was struck down indicates he has greater sense of surroundings than yours."

Sopan flinched again at the harsh statement.

"And you said it yourself that—"

"Are you really going to lecture him after everything that has happened to the poor child?" Ice stepped up in front of Taufan, giving him a look. Both father and son almost had a jumpscare at the sudden appearance. Ice back is being watched by his nephew, who somewhat looks relieved that the barrage of harsh words has stopped.

"I expect Solar to do that, but not you. I'm expecting you to console him, not lecture him, and this is coming from my mouth and not Gempa. If he sees this, he's going to slap you with his Earth Gauntlet"

"It just—"

"If something like this happens, it means that you did not teach him enough. That this is your fault, not his."

Taufan grimaced at Ice's words.

"If you have a problem, don't pour it on your son." Ice further added when he saw his brother gaze on the wall.

"Search Solar for me."

"But Ice—"

"U-uncle—"

"You better do that before I freeze you here. Don't try to play with my thin patience, Taufan."

Guilty flashes a bit on Taufan's expression. He just remembered whose son is inside the surgery room. Taufan sighs and does exactly what Ice says.

Ice took a deep breath before his cold gaze tuned a bit to his uninterested gaze.

"Do me a favor, Sopan. I know that you hide your injury so please go to the nurse and tend your wound, okay? I will tell you when the doctor finish the surgery"

The said boy nodded, feeling more at fault than he ever felt.
