I gently pressed the small silver heart on the bracelet, and it lightened up in seconds. I waited for a minute and nothing happened, until I decided to press it one more time, having some hope that the bracelet meant something or there was a reason it helped Mrs Weasley communicate with her husband when they were my age. When I saw that nothing happened again, my hope was completely gone!

I rested my head back on my pillow in disbelief, remembering that there was nothing I could do to just go back in time when I was still a kid running around the hallways in Hogwarts and not an adult who was forced to get married by her parents. Ah, adult life hasn't even started and I already hate it. I silently screamed into my pillow, holding back the tears that wanted to come out before I looked at the ceiling. Little Atlas was sleeping on his little bed next to mine and I didn't want to wake him, so the only little thing that kept me company was the enchanted ceiling above me that reminded me so much of my bed at Hogwarts

I closed my eyes, dreaming of the good old times when I used to lie in Percy's arms every single night in his dorm talking about random stuff or talking about the future we could have together. But right now that seemed too far and unreachable! I missed the warmth and comfort his hug gave me on the cold nights of winter, and I was wondering if he was thinking the exact same thing. I even missed his little snores that used to keep me up almost every night, but I didn't mind them because when I was too tired they were a lullaby to my ears and helped me fall asleep almost in a matter of seconds.

I was starting to fall asleep when a light came into my vision and woke me up again. I looked at the way the sudden light came from, and I was surprised to see that it was from my waist. I stood up and looked at the bracelet, confused, before I pressed the little heart one more time with the hope building up inside me again. The light was suddenly gone, and I heard a voice calling my name. I looked around the room to see where it came from but with no clue. I heard my name again before my eyes fell on the bracelet on my waist and brought it close to my ear. Tears started filling my eyes when I realized to whom the voice belonged to

Y/n: Perce

Was the only word that could leave my mouth at that moment before I wiped away the happy tear that was running down my cheek

Percy: Y/n

Was the only word he said, and then there was silence between us, not believing that we could actually hear each other's voice again even if we last met a few hours ago.

We spent the entire night just talking to each other through the enchanted bracelet, and I told him to thank his mother for this lifesaver. This little accessory in my waist could help us listen to each other's voice even if we were miles away from each other, and right now that felt enough. I didn't realize when the morning had come, but I didn't want to say goodbye, not yet. But I forced myself to do so when I heard a small snore coming from the heart, knowing that he had fallen asleep

Y/n: Sweet dreams ginger

I whispered before pressing the heart one more time for it to close and then closed my own eyes before finally falling asleep for the night

The next day was the Quidditch World Cup and I woke up with my family a few hours before the game and then we apparated all together to the field outside the stadium. We walked inside the huge field with thousands of tents and people in it. Witches and wizards had decorated their small tents with the colours of the team they supported, and they were talking to each other with big smiles on their faces, awaiting the big game. This reminded me of the weekends when there was a Quidditch game at Hogwarts, and I shook my head to prevent getting emotional at that moment. I was walking with Draco's arm in mine before I noticed my best friend's unique raven hair from afar, and then I ran to her with a smile on my face, glad that she was there. I hugged her tight because I hadn't seen her in days, and she pulled away, not looking really happy about something. I looked at her with a confused look before she pointed with her head at something behind her. My smile disappeared in a matter of seconds when I noticed two people that Ruby and I didn't want to be here with. Flint and Pucey! Out of all the people, did my dad have to call them to spend the day with us?
