Chapter 76

WARNING: MISCARRIAGE

I was sitting in my office doing some paperwork, literally being in my own world, when I heard a knock on the door. I looked at it confused because usually the only people that visited my office were my clients, my secretary, or Percy when he had free time, but I didn't expect any of them at that moment. I said "Come in" with a bit of confusion but also curiosity in my voice when a tall blonde hair girl that I am sure I had seen somewhere before entered the room, she looked at me with a friendly smile before she removed her hat that looked like a French beret 

?: Are you Y/n Malfoy right?

She asked, looking at me confused, while speaking English with a French accent. I nodded before standing up 

?: I am Fleur Delacour, Bill's girlfriend, he told me that I would find you here

She said, and that was when I realized who she was. She was one of the Triwizard champions two years ago and Bill's girlfriend who he met at Gringrots. I remember him telling me about her one day when I went to an order meeting and how he was too afraid to propose to her after dating for almost a year. Of course, not everyone in his family knew her existence yet, but it made me happy that out of all people, he came to ask me about my opinion on the matter

Y/n: Yeah Bill has told me about you, it is really great to meet you 

I said, walking up to her and shaking her hand, before she nodded with a smile and showed me her engagement ring. I congratulate her with a smile before inviting her to come and sit. After I gave her a cup of tea and sat opposite her, she started to explain the reason that she decided to pay me a visit 

Fleur: Well, Bill wants me to celebrate Christmas with his family, so I would get to meet them now that we are engaged, but I am too afraid to do so. Because I believe that they won't like me or something, so then I remembered Bill mentioning you before and the fact that you have been dating his brother for almost five years now, and I wanted to ask you for any kind of advice that you will give me on this matter. I mean, what did you do for them to like you?

She asked, and I looked on the floor while processing in my mind what she had just asked me. I started thinking about a right and truthful answer before I looked back at her with a kind smile

Y/n: Well, I was just being myself, and I believe that you should do the same. Just be Fleur, and I am pretty sure they would like you the way you are. The Weasleys are a kind family and I promise you will fit in immediately like I did when I met them five years ago

I said, really meaning my words and not knowing what was actually coming. Fleur smiled at me kindly and nodded because my words gave her hope and the feeling of fear she felt about the entire situation left her when she heard my answer

Fleur: Thank you so much, and I will try to be myself while being around Bill's family, but I am really glad that I will have you around if I need any other advice

She said, hugging me tight, and I hugged her back before she excitedly stood up, feeling confident with herself. She thanked me and left the office with the biggest smile on her face. Oh dear Merlin, I had no idea that it would be the exact opposite of what I thought it would be

Christmas day came more quickly than I expected, and apparently, the Weasleys didn't like Fleur as I had thought they would. I mean, Mrs Weasley wasn't really fond of her, but Ginny hated her. She had called me multiple times to take her away from the kitchen because poor Fleur just wanted to help her future mother-in-law and show that she was a good option for her oldest son, but no one took her effort seriously. I felt sorry for her because I knew how excited she was to meet them, and it broke my heart when she took me aside to ask me what she was doing wrong and what she needed to fix. But I assured her like I did all the times we went out for a coffee to chat that she just needed to be herself. But I just suppose that it was hard for Mrs Weasley and Ginny to watch Bill get married and this is why they treated Fleur like that, I also knew that it was just a small phase and that it would pass
