Chapter 9

I gave the book to Hermione, and she thanked me like a hundred times, but I ensured her that it was my pleasure to do them a favour. I also told her that if she had any questions, she could come and ask me. The next day, I was walking with Ruby outside to go to Hogmeads, and I was pretty sad to find out that Oliver B had got sick and couldn't come. Then I got mad when she told me that she had arranged to meet with Oliver W and the ginger and begged me to come with her.

Y/n:No, I am mad at Wood for yesterday, and I am always mad at Weasley for none reason 

I said and she rolled her eyes 

Ruby:Come on Y/n, Oliver told me that Percy didn't have a problem with us coming, so please do me this tiny little favour and I will own you big time

She said and I looked at her confused. Did he really don't have a problem for us to go with them, or she was just lying to me? I definitely need the award of the friend of the year! After a few minutes, I gave in and told her that I will come. She was over the moon and immediately run to the yard where we meet up, so we could go. When we started walking, Ruby was in front of us with Oliver talking and laughing, while me and ginger boy were walking behind them in silence. I hope a good thing will come out of this because if my arm becomes okay again then I swear that I will kill Ruby with my own hands 

Percy:How is your arm?

He said, breaking the awkward silent, and I looked at him confused before I answered 

Y/n:It's okay 

I said, looking on the floor, and he nodded. Why was he so concerned about my arm all of a sudden? I knew that he was doing this as a favor to Wood, but I totally preferred the silence at that moment. I noticed a bookshop from afar and because I needed to buy some books, I excused myself. Ruby told me to meet them in three broomsticks in an hour, and I nodded. There were some books in my reading list that I wanted to try for a long time, so I went there in luck to find them. I always loved walking around bookshops. I don't know, it was something about the atmosphere that gave me comfort, and I loved wandering around it and looking at the books. It made me forget about things. This one was my favourite since third year, and I couldn't wait to show it to Hermione next year. It had this old style, and it was filled with books not only for wizards about also from Muggles. I just loved it so much! Mione suggested me to read Alice in Wonderland and that was the first one that I looked for between the selves. Then I looked around for some more, and I ended up buying three more than the five ones that I was planning to. It is not my fault anyway! When I finished, I went to a shoe shop to look for a pair of converse because those Doc Martens that I took from home were hurting my feet. I bought a pair of black ones, and then I realised that I was late fifteen minutes. I practically run to three broomsticks and when I saw them sitting at one table I was unsurprised to see that the only free sit was next to the ginger boy. I went to them and sat at the chair, completely tired because my legs were hurting me.

Y/n:Sorry that I was late, but I lost track of time 

I said with a sorry look while ordering, removing my black coat and ordering a butterbeer. Ruby immediately took my bag when she saw a shoebox, and she opened it in excitement

Ruby:Nice choice, I told you that these that you are wearing are uncomfortable as hell

She said, handing me back the bag, and the boys looked at us with the please-murder-me-now-look

Oliver:Please don't talk about shoes because I will vomit, let's talk about something else. How about the fact that we kicked your ass yesterday in the match?

He said looking at me with a smirk, and I gave him a deathstare before I drank my butterbeer

Y/n:You are lucky that my arm is broken, or I will have strangled with you with my own bare hands 

I said, and Weasley next to me laughed, while Oliver just rolled his eyes.

Percy:I wouldn't mind watching that

He said with a smile and Oliver looked ready to murder him before Ruby tried to change the subject

Ruby:New subject! Y/n I forgot to tell you that Flint was looking for you a few minutes ago, he said he wanted to tell you something, and then he gave me this letter from your father

She said handed me the letter and I opened it confused. I started reading it word by word and it made my heart drop. My eyes widened because I couldn't believe what I was reading. Tell me that these are lies or a stupid prank. Please, can someone ensure me that this is a joke? I immediately stood up and put the letter on my pocket

Y/n:Sorry I have to go 

I said taking my bags and Ruby looked at me with a worried look while I was leaving some galleons at the table

Ruby:Hey what happened?

She asked, taking my hand 

Y/n:I will tell you in our dorm when I will process it, but I really need to owl my mom 

I said, and she nodded before I started heading towards the castle, trying to keep the tears in my eyes. I didn't want anyone to see me cry. They shouldn't see me cry. A Malfoy doesn't cry. I kept repeating to myself over and over again, so I wouldn't cry. But when I went to the castle and found an empty corridor, I felt to the ground and let the tears go from my eyes. I put the hand in my mouth, so none could hear my sobs, but I couldn't. The pain that I was feeling right now in my chest was so huge and heavy that I couldn't prevent my sobs from being heard. Then I heard footsteps coming towards me, and I looked up to see Weasley looking down at me with a worried look. He sat down next to me and hugged me while I sob on his shoulder. Did he follow me all the way here? Where were Ruby and Oliver? This was probably the first and last time that he was being so nice to me. I felt a weird feeling in his arm like I was safe and protected, but at that moment I didn't think much of it. He didn't ask me what happened because he knew that it wasn't his business, but the fact that he tried to comfort me was enough for me. I pulled away from the hugged and wiped the tears from my cheeks 

Y/n:Thank you 

I whispered looking on the floor, and he smiled with a nod

Percy:It's nothing. Everyone is going through some shit every once in a while and like my mom always says that a hug is the best medicine 

He said, and I smiled at him before he helped me stand up 

Percy:Let's go eat lunch in the Great Hall because I doubt that Oliver and Ruby will bring us something from Hogmeads 

He said, and I laughed before I followed him towards the Great Hall
