Chapter 22

I was going through my trunk trying to find something appropriate to wear at the party, but there was nothing good. I didn't want to dress too formally, I wanted to wear something simple. I sighed in disbelief before falling to the cold floor. How could I have nothing to wear? It didn't even cross my mind to pack something nice with me. Ruby came and sat next to me trying to find an ideal choice of clothes for a party, and then she stared at me with the are-you-serious-look

Ruby: Girl you have plenty of options in here, stop crying like a baby 

She said and then picked out the dress that my parents sent me for Christmas with a smile, but I nodded negatively 

Y/n: No way I am wearing that! I hate wearing dresses at home, what makes you believe that I will wear them here?

I said, and she rolled her eyes annoyed, putting the dress back into the trunk and started looking for something different. She smiled, picked a black skirt from my trunk, and then showed it to me 

Ruby: What about we choose something to match the skirt? I mean it's pretty cute, how come I have never seen you wear it before

She asked with a smile on her face. I hesitated for a second, but then eventually agreed. She also chose a white turtle-neck jumper to match it with and to say the truth I quite like it. It was a house party and I didn't really want to dress too much. She helped me do my hair and my makeup before we walk to the common room, which was already filled with students. Ruby went and waited by the door for the boys to come, and I smiled while watching them enter the room. Percy was wearing a pair of black jeans with a white shirt with buttons, and he looked more handsome than ever. He also wasn't wearing his glasses, and I smiled at the sigh of him. I tried to hide my blush before I went up to them, and they seemed to be amazed 

Y/n: Let me guess Gryffindor House doesn't do crazy parties like this?

I asked with a smile, and they agreed to my question, still looking amazed by what they were seeing. Ruby then went and put her arm around Wood's and started pulling him towards some sofas

Ruby: Okay boys, welcome to the real party

She said giving Wood a drink before we went to sit at the sofas in the middle of the common room. I sat at one with Percy next to me, and he put his arm around my waist now that no one was watching, and opposite of us sat Ruby and Oliver. We were pretty surprised to see Ruby sitting on Oliver's lap, and I turned to Percy with a smirk on my face 

Y/n: Bet they will make out until the end of the night?

I said with a smile on my face, and he thought about it for a second not agreeing with my question

Percy: Nah I know my best friend he will chicken out last minute 

He said pretty sure of himself and I just smiled at him. I knew Ruby pretty well to know that she will try to do her shot tonight 

Y/n: Alright, whatever you say ginger

I said with a smile, and then he smiled looking down at me before he leaned toward my ear

Percy: You look beautiful 

He said to me in my ear, so I would be able to listen to him from the loud music, and then I smiled at him with a small blush on my cheeks. He called me beautiful

Y/n: Well, thank you! You don't look bad either 

I said, hitting playfully his chest, and he laughed. Then I felt a pair of eyes burning at my back. I looked behind me with a confused look on my face and saw Flint giving glares at us, especially to Perce. What was his problem anyway? I rolled my eyes annoyed and showed him my middle finger before I turn back to my boyfriend.
