Shawn's Pov:
I'd rather for Megan to hold a gun to my face and pull the trigger all with a smile on her face because nothing could hurt more than this.
"Phew, that felt good to tell you." I'm stuck in place as she pats my shoulder, and laughs off the anxiety. "Now there's a officially no more secrets between us on my part."
"What?" I just want to make sure I heard her right.
"Well, I didn't actually get kicked out of Miradine, but I got kicked out the writing program. That was the only reason I was there to begin with so I left. I go to school with Monica now which is why-"
"When did this happen?" I know I'm snarling at her, but seriously. Fucking seriously. I need to do something, anything. So I settle for pacing around the room.
"This is my 2 semester at Arnolds. So for-"
"A year!" I shout with a laugh, and the laugh rumbles out of me in disbelief. "A whole fucking year! And you didn't tell me?!"
"I didn't want you to feel bad, but I also forgot. I'm sorry, but I really like Arnolds if that mean anything. I don't get treated like shit there, and the writing program there is really good too." I scoff reminding myself she doesn't have a clue why I'm so upset, otherwise I'd find her so cute.
"That's good, MG." I say, dismayed. No way. There's no way that bitch couldn't have known that this happened. It's almost laughable. When will there this end? Something about them always comes back to bite me in the ass.
"I knew you'd be upset but not this much." A hand touches my shoulder, but I move away from it's touch like a it burned. I'm so livid, I might explode. Literally taking my anger out on her for just doing what she needed.
"I'm sorry, I should have told you sooner."
"Yeah, you should've." I turned to face her, letting her see how much this pissed I am. Due to her nature, she reaches out to stop me from pacing the room. A little knack I got from her in the first place
"Don't touch me." My voice hoarse from barely able to suppress a yell. "Just don't."
"You're acting like I told you I kill someone." I scoff another laugh. "What's wrong with me transferring schools?"
Moving passed her to sit back on my bed, I can't do this right now. That's what I get for saying I was having a good day. It's my karma for something I don't remember doing.
"Nothin, MG. Good night." I throw a hint that I want her out of my room. As clueless as she is, I-I'm speechless. Completely, utterly speechless. What's next? Nana hasn't been taking the medication? Goodness.
"What?" Stubborn, always wanting a reason. Holding my face in my hands to help the oncoming headache.
"I said good night."
"I heard you." Megan cocks a hip out, hurt evident on her face. "I'm not understanding how it's this bad when"
"Just get the fuck out!" I point towards the door.
"Now, wait a minute..." She starts to march over to me. Her shoes making noise. "...you ain't finna talk to me like th-" A scream didn't come out because her eyes did it enough. Seems like someone could use my practice walking in heels.
It was like in slow-mo as Megan's ankle gave out on her and she was falling forward silently. If I hadn't been watching her wag a finger at me then she would've totally fell with my head straight to her gut. Instead, I caught her.
