Amara's POV
Productive and awkward at the same time, but I managed to get through it.
"Good morning, Ma." I greeted her.
She turned around, her arms crossed in front of her chest. "Good morning.
"Well anyway, let's not talk about that. I heard you're friends again with....Alexander."
I knew it, she went straight to the point.
"What's wrong with that?" I asked while I'm looking at the folders on my table.
"Amara, do you hear yourself? He's your ex husband!"
"So? That was years ago, Mama."
You'll be a laughingstock! There are lots of men na pwede mong kaibiganin. There's our business partners, or lalayo pa ba tayo? Wilson."
Friends. And if I wanna be friends with someone, I wanna make sure na humble na tao ang magiging kaibigan ko." Kumunot naman ang noo niya.
"Not like Wilson." Bulong ko sa sarili.
"Hay! Ewan ko sa'yo! I'm giving you all these free advice and wisdom but you're really a hard-headed lady!"
I secretly smirked. Matigas talaga ang ulo ko.
"Ma, whatever Alex and I have right now is purely friendship, alright? Wala nang iba."
She didn't seem to absorb what I said because she crossed her arms and was about to turn away. "By the way, matatagalan na bumalik si Helen sa bahay mo dahil hindi pa rin ako nakakahanap ng cook." She diverted the topic.
"Sige na, I have lots of things to do today, and I see that you do, too. I just dropped by to check on you after last night's event. I'll get going."
"Bye, Ma." Nagbeso kami bago siya lumabas.
'Di ba? Gano'n 'yun.
What a wonderful Tuesday morning!

Alex's POV
It's a great morning because I saw Amara earlier. I wanted to compliment her so bad but I don't want to make her feel awkward, especially since our friends were there.
