Bad Dream

Amara's POV

Calli is resting her head on my shoulder while I'm keeping it in place with my hand. We're waiting for Alex kasi kinakausap pa si Sam sa labas.

"Sweetheart, we may need to bring you to therapy because of what happened ha. Are you okay with that?" I softly explained, and I felt her nod as she wrapped her arms around me from the side.

Mabuti at humupa na ang pag-iyak ni Calli, at kumalma na rin. Ang hirap na makita siyang natatakot at nahihirapan, parang ako 'yung nasasaktan.

Napabangon si Calli mula sa balikat ko nang pumasok sa sala si Alex na kasunod si Samantha.

"Kakausapin na lang si Calli regarding sa kung anong nangyari for details. Syempre kung kaya ni Calli, hindi naman siya pipilitin mag-kwento kung hindi pa niya kaya." Sabi ni Sam.

"Kailangan pa ba 'yon?" Tanong ni Alex habang nakatingin kay Calli.

Sam twitched her lips. "Oo, kailangan kasi ng details, pero let her rest muna."

Bigla namang tumayo si Calli at yumakap kay Sam na ikinagulat nito.

"Thank you po sa pagligtas sa'kin." Calli said.

Sam smiled then patted her back. "You're welcome. Basta next time, mag-iingat ka ha, para hindi na maulit." Paalala ni Samantha. Tumango naman si Calli bago bumalik sa akin.

"Magpahinga na kayo sa kwarto. Ako nang bahala rito." Sabi ni Alex kaya inaya ko na si Calli sa taas para makapag-rest rin siya. It's been a long day for all of us.

Alex's POV

Amara accompanied Calli to our room so she can rest. She's been through a lot today.

"Salamat talaga, Sam. What you did today...we owe you that one." I said.

Hindi ko alam kung anong sasabihin ko kasi sobrang halaga ni Calli kay Amara and even to me.

She held my hand and stared into my eyes.
"Wala 'yun. You don't have to thank me. Magaan rin naman ang loob ko do'n sa bata. I don't even know why."

Binawi ko ang kamay kong hawak niya bago ako nagsalita ulit. "Maybe because mabait talagang bata si Calli at hindi siya mahirap na mahalin kaya magaan ang loob sa kaniya ng mga taong nakikilala niya." I explained.

She twitched her lips. "No. It's a different feeling. Pero maybe you're right."

There was a long and awkward silence that's why she broke it by looking at her wrist watch. "I have to go na pala. It's getting late na rin."

"Why don't you stay for dinner?" We both averted our gazes towards Amara who's currently walking down the stairs.

"I have to go na eh. Maybe next time, pero thanks for the invitation." Samantha said.

"Oh sige, ingat ka ha." My wife said then she reached for Sam's hand. "Thank you so much for bringing Calli back to us."

Sam tapped Amara's hand. "No problem. Kanina pa kayo thank you nang thank you. Hahahaha! Wala 'yun. Oh paano? I'll go na. See you when I see you!"

Amara's POV

It's the fourth week of this month and a therapist comes over at the house and talks to Calli everyday. Okay naman si Calli. Sabi nga ng doctor na kausap namin, matapang siya. She didn't let what happened to her, get to her head. We just wanted to make sure kaya namin siya pina-undergo ng therapy and so far, wala naman daw problema kay Calli.
