Little Girl

Amara's POV

I was just about to finish my work on my laptop, when I heard knocking on the door. It's 5 in the afternoon, and I've been sitting here on the bed since Alex brought me home. Tumatayo lang ako para magbanyo kasi natatakot akong gumalaw galaw masyado.

"Come in!" I yelled to whoever's outside.

The door creaked open, followed by a familiar, handsome voice. "I'm home." Napatingin ako sa pinto. Asawa ko pala. Hahahaha!

I carefully stood up and welcomed him with a hug and a kiss on the cheek. "How was work?" I asked, my arms loosely wrapped around him.

He loosened his tie and unbuttoned the top part of his polo. "Okay naman. Ikaw? How are you feeling?" He asked.

I helped him unbutton his polo para hindi na mahirapan. "I'm fine. I feel better. Bakit nga pala ang aga mong umuwi?"

"I finished my work early so I can spend more time with you." He touched the tip of my nose, making me chuckle.

I then walked to the closet to get him some comfortable clothes.

"Saka wala naman na akong gagawin do'n kaya umuwi na ako." He added.

"Sus! Na-miss mo siguro ang presence ko sa opisina, 'no? Wala kang nakikitang Amara-ng pumapasok sa opisina mo." Biro ko.

Inabot ko sa kaniya ang damit niya at saka siya dumiretso sa banyo para magpalit. Naupo muna ako sa kama habang hinihintay siya.

I don't know if it's my hormones, or my cravings, but I feel so happy when he came home, lalo na nang makita ko ang mukha!

He got out of the bathroom, then flopped himself on the bed next to me as he snaked his arm around my tummy.

"How's our baby doing?" He asked, levelling himself to my stomach.

Natawa ako because he asked that as if I can already feel the baby? "Well, I hope the baby's fine." I said.

"Let's eat fruits? May dala ako sa baba." Aya niya.

With hands clasped together, we made our way to the dining room where we saw Calli seemingly frustrated, scratching her head while holding a pen.

I tapped her back when I passed behind her. "Hey, you okay?" I asked before sitting on my chair.

Looks like she's doing homework. May notebook kasi sa harap niya.

Bahagya siyang nagulat nang maramdaman ang tapik ko. "Ay, nandyan po pala kayo. Okay lang po." Sagot niya. Palipat lipat siya ng page at parang nag-iisip ng malalim.

"Homework ba 'yan?" Tanong ni Alex.

Tumingin siya sa Dad niya. "Opo, math homework. Grr! Hindi ko po maintindihan!!!" She frustratedly ranted while stomping her feet on the ground.

Natawa si Alex at inurong ng kaunti ang upuan palapit kay Calli. "Patingin nga." Sabi niya habang inaabot ang notebook ni Calli.

Binasa ni Alex ang nakasulat at bahagyang natawa. "Oh! This one is tricky. Halika, ituturo ko sa'yo."

While they're busy doing homework, I'm busy eating oranges. Hahaha! Wala akong kausap eh, kaya heto, nagpapakabusy rin.

After a few minutes, mukhang nagkakaintindihan na ang dalawa sa sino-solve nila.

"Ahh! Okay po! Kasi medyo naguluhan po ako kanina no'ng tinuro 'yan, hindi ako makasabay." Calli explained.

"That's why be observant kasi nandyan rin sa figure ang gagamitin mo sa formula." Turo ni Alex sa kaniya.
