Alex's POV

It's been such a stressful week for us, with the notes and stuff that's why I thought of taking my family out for a picnic. Weekend naman na. Simpleng gala lang, para ma-refresh ang utak nila.

I was busy making some sandwiches to take with us, when I felt someone's presence in the kitchen.

In an instant, the sweet scent of my wife lingered around me, followed by two arms encircling around my waist.

"Good morning." She greeted in her lovely morning voice, with the mandatory soft kisses on my cheek.

"You're up early?"

She buried her face on the crook of my neck. "Bigla kang nawala sa tabi ko eh." She complained like a clingy child.

"I'm preparing our food for later kasi."

"Hmm? For what?" She cluelessly asked.

"We'll go camping today."

"Really?!" Her voice instantly became much more energetic.

"Yeah, naisip ko kasi, ang dami natin masyadong iniisip nitong nakaraang linggo. Maybe we should take some time to unwind, be with nature, bond?"

She tightened her arms around me, giggling adorably before letting go. I wiped my hands off of a paper towel, then I turned around to face her.

"Awww! Sobrang busy mo na sa work, naisip mo pa 'to. Thank you!" She said.

"You're always welcome, hon. If it's for you, you know I'll always go the extra mile, right?" I cupped her cheeks and kissed her sweet lips.

She ended up giggling against my lips, making me smile as well. Momma's giggly today? Looks like we're off to a good start.

"I love you..." She whispered.

"I love you more." I squished her cheeks, and scrunched my nose at her, making her do the same.

"You can eat breakfast na, nakahain na doon sa table." I told her.

"You don't get paid enough for doing stuff around the house." She kidded.

"Your love is more than enough, honey." I chuckled.

She giggled again as she walked to the table to have breakfast, while I'm watching her from the counter because I'm busy preparing our packed food for later.

~~~~~
Been driving for quite a while. Amara's already asleep while Calli is busy listening to music and sketching on her huge sketchpad.
"You okay back there?" I asked while looking at her through the rear view mirror.
She removed one of her earphones and smiled while nodding her head.
"Tulog na tulog Mommy mo." Komento ko, at sabay kaming natawa.
"Kaya nga po, lagi siyang tulog."
"Dahil yata kay baby."
Umabante si Calli sa espasyo sa pagitan namin ni Amara at sinilip ang Mommy niyang mahimbing na natutulog habang nakayakap sa unan.
Looks like my wife sensed whatever's happening because she began shuffling in her seat, and shortly after, she opened her eyes.
"Hmm? Why are you looking at me?" She asked Calli. Mabuti at hindi ako nahuling nakatitig sa kaniya.
"Wala po, ang cute niyo eh."
Tumawa si Amara at pinisil ang pisngi ni Calli. "Are we there yet?" She asked me while stretching her arms and legs.
"Not yet, pero malapit na."
