Amara's POV

Just got home from another day at work, and I'm exhausted! Mas mabilis akong mapagod lately.

"You know what, why don't you stay at home? Leave the operations to me, then come back when you feel like you can work better without stressing yourself too much." Alex said while removing my shoes.

After doing so, I stood up and helped him with his necktie. "Napag-isipan ko na 'yan. It's too early for me to rest all day at home. Maybe I'll do that when I'm 5 months along na? Pwede pa naman daw akong mag-work eh."

I unbuttoned the cuffs of his long sleeve polo to make it easier for him.

He sighed, knowing that he can't convince me unless I'm really willing to give up my work for now. "Hindi naman kita mapipilit. Pero sige, kapag 5 months na 'yan, o kapag hindi mo na kayang maka-focus sa trabaho, hindi ka na muna papasok sa office, alright?"

I smiled then I tapped his cheek. "Of course."

After helping him, ako naman ang nagbihis before I finally got to relax on the bed. Si Alex naman, pumunta sa study dahil may aayusin lang raw siya ng mabilisan about work.

I was rummaging through the bedside drawer when I heard a knock on the door.

"Come in!"

The door slightly pushed opened, Calli peaking her head through the gap. "Mommy?"

A smile rose from my lips upon seeing her face. "Yes, sweetie? Do you need anything? Pasok ka dito."

May dala siyang paper and pen so I suppose she needs something from me? Lumapit siya kaya umusog ako para may space siya sa kama.

"May homework po kasi kami. Mag-interview raw po. Kayo po ang naisip kong interview-hin kasi po busy sila Lola sa baba." Sabi niya.

"Oh, sure, sure. About ba saan 'yan?" Tanong ko.

"Okay, ito po kasi 'yung assignment. Interview someone about their happiest moment in life." Binasa niya ang nakasulat sa notebook niya saka tumingin sa'kin na nakangiti.

"Sige. Hmm...I think the happiest moment in my life was when I gave birth to Isabella. Pwede ba 'yon?"

"Opo, kahit ano naman daw po eh."

I fixed my posture, making her do the same. "Okay. Get ready. This will be a storytime."

Flashback

Ria and I are at home, having our girl talk sesh. She comes here every other day to keep me company and to keep my sanity intact because I'm always at home with no one to talk to about the random things in life.

Mabuti nga at nandito siya ngayon para libangin ako kasi kanina pa sumasakit ang tiyan ko. Nagc-contractions na naman yata. No'ng isang araw pa 'to eh!

"In fairness sa'yo, ang ganda mo pa rin kahit malapit ka nang manganak." Sabi niya habang tinatanggal ang liner ng cupcake na hawak niya. Nag-bake siya kanina habang pinapanood ko. Hahaha!

"Lakas mo mambola. How's Erissa nga pala?" I asked.

"Ayun, ang daldal! Ang dami nang alam sabihin! Baka bukas dalhin ko dito. Nando'n kasi sa Mama ni Lester eh." Kumagat muna siya sa cupcake at humigop ako sa gatas na iniinom ko mula pa kanina.

"Nasa'n si Alex? Akala ko ba naghahalf day na lang siya sa office?" Tanong niya.

"Baka pauwi na rin 'yon. May meeting yata kasi siya." Tumayo muna ako kasi sumasakit na naman ang tiyan ko. "Wait lang ah, mag-C-CR lang ako."
