Alex's POV
"Alex." I heard my name being called that's why I slowly slipped away from my sleep.
I then turned on the lamp to illuminate the room.
With the help of the bedside lamp, I was able to see my wife who's sitting beside me, staring into the abyss.
I looked at my phone to check the time. It's 1 in the morning. Ang aga!
"Bakit gising ka pa?" I asked her.
She deeply sighed before averting her gaze to me. "I want siomai." She pouted.
Here we go again with the random midnight food cravings.
"Ngayon?" I confirmed.
"Yes. Now. Please, Daddy?" She pleaded, knowing that I can't resist her.
Without hesitation, I got up and together, we went to the kitchen so I can cook what she's craving for.
Nagutom ako at may gusto akong kainin but I didn't know what it was so I browsed on my social media and I saw siomai pictures. 'Yun pala ang gusto kong kainin. Natakam ako." She explained.
"What's wrong?" She asked while trying to peek from the counter.
Anything else that you might be craving for?"
"None! Siomai lang. Please? I'm so craving for it!"
Lagot! Gustong gusto niya talaga.
I'll try to look, okay? It might take a while, are you willing to wait?"
"Basta gusto kong kumain ng siomai. Period." Sagot niya.
Well, okay. That's a yes.
"Wait here. Mabilis lang ako."
I took my car keys and I headed to the garage.
I drove out of the village, keeping my eyes open for open stores where I could buy frozen goods.
I punched my fist in mid air when I saw an open mini mart a few blocks away from the village gate. Yes!
I was on my way to the cashier when my phone vibrated on my pocket. Checked to see who it was, most probably it's my wife.
