Alex's POV

Ever since we left the house, until maihatid si Calli, hanggang ngayon na papunta na kami sa office, walang umiimik.

Kagabi pa kami hindi nag-uusap ni Amara. Even though I want to, I thought maybe she needs some space. Naging pagkakamali ko na noon na hindi ko siya inintindi kaya hindi ko na uulitin 'yon. I'll try to understand her in every way I can.

It's been a few hours but I can't focus on my job. My mind is wandering off someplace else.

I'm worrying about Amara.

My thoughts got disrupted when someone entered the office. It was Meea, holding a cup of hot beverage in her hand.

"Sir, pinapabigay po sa inyo ni Ma'am Amara." Sabi niya pagkababa ng cup sa harapan ko.

I got a bit perplexed and I think it's evident on my face. But still, I reached for the cup and noticed that there's a sticky note on it with a little note, handwriting ni Amara to be exact.

'Inumin mo. Hindi ka nagbreakfast.'

That's all that is written. Dry and cold.

Why do I imagine her with a frown while writing this?

Well, at least kinakausap na niya ako through notes, 'di ba?

I pulled out my phone and sent her a message saying 'thank you'. Nagseen lang siya at hindi na nagreply.

"Sir, nasa conference room na po 'yung mga client na scheduled for 10 A.M." Meea reminded me so I fixed myself before going out of my office.

The meeting began, and even though Amara was seated next to me, she didn't bother looking at me even when I entered earlier.

While listening to the presentation, I caught my wife glance at me but she was quick to avert her gaze before I could even react.

I discreetly tried to glance at her through my peripheral, hoping to catch her again, and I did. Her face may be facing the clients, but her eyes are on me.

That's it! I can't do this anymore.

Since we're seated next to each other, I have closer access to her, that's why while she's pretending to be 'busy', I placed my hand on her lap, and I slowly pulled myself closer to her, the swivel chair mking it easier.

"....Mrs. Montevista?"

Sabay kaming napalingon ni Amara sa kliyente nang tawagin siya.

"Yes?"

"We were asking  if may revision kayong ipapagawa?" Tanong sa kaniya.

"None. Go ahead." She said, then her innocent eyes panned to my hand on her lap, under the table. She lifted her gaze and met mine.

~~~
The meeting finished without Amara speaking a single word to me.
Right now, it's lunch time, and I'm hesitating to invite her because she might just...she might not be in the mood, or she might just roll her eyes on me...
Fine! I'm gonna do it anyway.
As soon as I reached Amara's office, my feet automatically halted. Tarra stared at me, probably in confusion because I'm standing out here like a fool.
