🫛Side By Side Goku x Reader 🫛 pt 4

As you lay unconscious from Tien's overpowered attack during your fight at the tournament against him, Goku has gently scooped you up into his arms, trying to wake you without injuring your already damaged shoulder even more as he and your group of friends surround you. Goku feels his anger rising as he looks at the three eyed fighter who has done this to you. "Why did you go overboard like this, Tien? There wasn't any need!" Goku nearly shouts, but Tien simply turns away while crossing his arms. "Whether or not it was, I still won the round, and that's what matters. Your little girlfriend will be fine, I'm sure she's not even all that hurt anyway. But at least this proves that I'm stronger than she is." Tien taunts, making Goku glare worse at him. The announcer of the tournament comes over and reassures Goku that the medical team will take care of you, and Goku calms himself down enough to carry you gently to the medical tent where you can be checked on and recover.

Three hours pass by before you wake up, your shoulder bandaged up and your body sore, but you're alive. All of your friends are surrounding you, and Goku is relieved to see you already awake. He helps you sit up, and you lean against him a bit while holding your shoulder, a small blush of embarrassment on your face. "I-I'm already out of the competition, huh? I thought I'd last longer than just a few hours.. I'm really sorry everyone." You apologize, your blush worsening as you feel more embarrassment for not being as strong as you thought. But everyone surprises you by giving you words of encouragement and understanding instead, especially Goku, who gently nuzzles his face against yours with a smile. "Y/N, what are you saying? You did great out there, you and all of us at the edge of our seats! Besides, you're an amazing fighter, and I'm really proud of you." He says lovingly, causing you to hide your face behind one of your hands, as Bulma and the others laugh lightly from such a cute scene between you and Goku. "Oh, I almost forgot!" Goku says suddenly, fishing around in the pocket of his outfit for a second before he pulls out a Senzu bean. "We haven't had any reason to use these in so long for any emergencies, I forgot that I still had this. Here, eat up." Goku tells you, and you smile lightly before opening your mouth for him, allowing Goku to pop the bean into your mouth. You chew on it and swallow, and almost immediately your shoulder is healed and your body no longer aches. You give your shoulder a few practice rotations and beam happily. "I'm already a lot better, thanks Goku!" You say, making your boyfriend smile happily and nuzzle you lovingly all over again, giggles escaping from both of you.

Master Roshi watches how loving you and Goku are with each other for a moment before speaking up. "You two young rascals deserve a break. How about you both go on a date before the tournament continues tomorrow, hm?"

At this, you and Goku become confused. "What's a date?" Goku asks, and you try to think of what it is as well. "Oh! That's one of those weird fruit thingies right? Unless you mean like what the day is.." You answer, trailing off a bit. Roshi and the others sigh at your and Goku's innocent cluelessness, before Bulma speaks up with a smile and a wink. "No, a date is when two people go out together and have a good time. You know, to romantic places. They usually talk and eat and sit under a beautiful sunset together, and the whole world around them disappears!" Bulma says with a daydreaming sigh. You and Goku look at each other before looking at Bulma with even more confusion. "But why would we do that when you're all here too? Can't we just have a date with all of you?" You ask, and the group comically falls in exasperation before Bulma's back in your and Goku's faces. "You idiots, that's not what a date is!"

After further explanation is done, you get a grasp on what Bulma means, and she even gives you money to use for this 'date' with Goku.

Later on that day you and Goku are walking together, holding hands and discussing random things, especially the fighting in the tournament. Goku squeezes your hand warmly, and you give his hand a returning squeeze before you think about what Bulma's said. "Should we try that roma tomato stuff Bulma talked about?" You ask, and Goku shrugs softly. "Hmm, I guess we could. But what do we do?" He asks, and you purse your lips in thought before looking around, prompting Goku to stop as you point towards what looks like a fun fairground. "Maybe we could go there? I'm sure other people will know what to do if we ask?" You suggest, and Goku nods with a bright smile. "Yeah!"
