Goku x Human Reader: Sick

Requested by MiaSakuraSaiyan a chapter in which Goku's lover is really sick.

I didn't want to go with overboard/overkill with how sick so I hope this chapter is still good. I'll still be making many more scenarios. If anyone else has a request feel free to message me or comment a scenario and I'll do my best to make it enjoyable!)

In the depths of winter, an unprecedented blizzard of epic proportions has descended upon the land, leaving a trail of destruction in its wake. The snowfall has reached an astonishing eight feet, transforming the world into a frozen fortress. The sky, perpetually concealed by thick, foreboding clouds, adds an eerie touch to the already treacherous scene.

Regrettably, you find yourself in the clutches of illness, a cruel twist of fate that has left you in a worse state than the person from whom the sickness originated. A raging fever engulfs your body, accompanied by relentless chills that send shivers down your spine. Your airways are congested, making each breath a struggle, punctuated by fits of coughing that wrack your weakened frame.

To make matters worse, instead of being safe and sound in the company of your beloved Goku, you had ventured out to pack up your late great grandfather's old shack, located hours away from home. Cut off from communication and unable to reach Goku, you curse your ill-timed decision. If only you could have foreseen the cruel twist of fate that would leave you sick and stranded in this unforgiving winter landscape.

Restless and consumed by worry, Goku finds himself in Bulma's lab, his foot tapping impatiently as he anxiously awaits news of your well-being. Bulma, occupied with her work, attempts to reassure him, unaware of the gravity of your situation.

"Why can't I go check on her, Bulma?" Goku pleads, his concern etched across his face.

Bulma lets out an exasperated sigh, her frustration mounting as Goku's presence disrupts her concentration. "Because, Goku, you've been suffocating the poor girl lately! I understand that you two are deeply in love, but she's also my assistant. Just like how I'm feeling right now, she can't get her work done every time you show up here, bothering her for food or training. She'd never tell you, but it puts her behind on helping me."

Goku's face contorts into a pout, his innocence shining through. "But I can't help it, Bulma! I always want to be around her. She's my everything! I love her even more than food and fighting combined!"

Bulma's frustration gives way to guilt as she realizes the depth of Goku's feelings. "Alright, Goku, fine. But please, dress warmly, okay? And maybe take a phone with you, just in case."

Goku's face lights up with gratitude, his worry momentarily eased. "Thank you, Bulma! I'll make sure to bundle up and bring a phone. I need to see her and make sure she's alright."

With a newfound sense of purpose, Goku prepares himself for the treacherous journey ahead, determined to reach you and provide the comfort and care that only he can offer.

Clad in a thick coat, Goku concentrates, placing two fingers to his forehead in an attempt to sense your energy. His brows furrow as he realizes that your energy is alarmingly low, a deep frown etching itself onto his face. Determined to reach you, he harnesses the power of instant transmission, hoping to appear by your side in an instant.

However, as Goku materializes, he finds himself unexpectedly popping up right in the heart of a treacherous snowbank. Flailing amidst the mounting snow, he quickly regains his composure, vigorously shaking off the icy flakes from his hair as he gasps for breath in the biting cold.

His worry intensifies as he surveys the scene before him. The shack you had ventured to is partially buried under a heavy blanket of snow, its frozen pipes causing the entire structure to be encased in a thick layer of ice. Undeterred, Goku hastens towards the shack, his determination unwavering.
