Troubles against the Trainers

I check my pokedex as it beeps. "Hm?" It then says on the screen: 'Max wants to learn Role play. Teach Max Role Play?' I then look up. "'Im not even gonna... no." I slap myself. I'm sorry my dirty mind. "Anyways. Yes. It copies the targets ability." I replace it with Double Slap. "This better we useful though."

I continue through the invisible wall maze and eventually get to another trainer.

Gym Trainer: "You have made it this far. Now let me see your battling skills!" "Ok then. Jist please hurry it up." The guy looks at me confused but the shrugs it off. The Gym trainer moves back a little. I stay in my spot. Meaning the space between us is the battlefield. Gym Trainer: "Two pokemon. Ready? Lets go!" He throws a pokeball forward and a sludge pokemon comes out. It stunk and both me and Vee took a step back. "Lets wrap this up- Go Ben!" Ben comes out and wince at the smell of the Sludge. Gym Trainer: "Easy win for me i guess. Muk use Sludge Bomb!" The Muk then flings sludge at Ben. "Ben! Use Surf!" Ben then flood then whole area with water and slams into Muk, who then starts to separate in the water. Gym Trainer: "... Does that count as fainting?" Muk then lays there in the water, not moving. "I'd count it. Please. It stinks." Gym Trainer: "Alright, Alright. Fine. Anyways then, go Haunter!"

Haunter? The Haunter then smiles mischievous and dissapears. "Huh?! Ben use Surf again!" Gym Trainer: "Haunter use Destiny Bond." Destiny Bond what is that? I then see Haunter fade back in and fall down. At the same moment Ben falls down and faints. "Wait... what happened?" The Gym Trainer Laughs. Gym trainer: "Destiny Bond causes the opponents pokemon to faint if the users pokemon faints." "What was the ppint of that?!" Gym Trainer: "So you have one less pokemon against Koga." I return Ben. "Great my Earthquake plan isn't gonna work now... Thanks a lot." The Trainer starts whistling as he walks away and I walk away feeling Gloom-y. "I guess we should go on..." I groan as I walk into another wall.

"This is taking ages!" Vee and I whine. Also my heels hurt. I decide to sit down and give my feet a break. I'm honestly lost in this maze and I feel like giving up. WHO'S IDEA WAS IT TO PUT A MAZE IN A GYM!?! "And even after all this i still have one more gym trainer and then the Gym Leader Koga." I cross my arms. "How'd Pyrafox get in and out so fast? Did he have a Map of some sort?" I then pause. "God Damn it. I'm such a idiot." I face plam myself and pull the map out of the shorts. "I forgot about this guy." Vee looks at me and shakes her head. "Fine then. How about you use the map." I toss the map and Vee brings it back as she shakes her head again. "That's what i thought." ... "Guess we should actually use the map." I stand up and Vee climbs her way up to my head. "Alrighty here. Let's where we are..."

"Ah i see. Lost."

It turns out I went the wrong way and ended up going backwards. Meaning back to the entrance. Which also means I accidentally passed up the Gym Trainer that Destiny Bonded Ben... like earlier.

So I finally get back onto track and actually use my map this time.

"The trainer should be on our left." I turn and look up from the map. A trainer is standing there, when she sees me she pulls out a pokeball. Gym Trainer: "You ready?" "Yup." Vee runs forward and starts wagging her tail like some dog pokemon. Gym Trainer: "In this battle we will be using three pokemon. You ok with that?" "Yeah, yeah, yeah. Let's just battle already. I have spent about a hour or so in here just trying to get to the Gym Leader." Gym Trainer: "Okay...? Well then go Nidorino!" "Vee use Quick attack!" Vee runs forward and strikes Nidorino. Gym Trainer: "Now Horn Drill!" Horn Drill? "Vee dodge it!" Vee jumps up and dodges Nidorino's Horn. "Quickly now use Buzzy Buzz!" Vee then pushes of of the walls and lands ontop of Nidorino. Gym Trainer: "Now use Double Kick!" Nidorino flings Vee up and goes for the Double Kick. But vee shoots buzzy Buzz and it strikes Nidorino causing it to become Paralyzed. Gym Trainer: "Try again!" Vee lands on the ground and then gets hit by the double kick, she slides back after the impact. "Dont worry Vee! You got this!"

"Now use Quick attack! Attack from all sides!" Vee charges forward and continues to strike multiple times. Gym Trainer: "Now Horn Drill!" At the perfect moment, Nidorino moves forward and it hits Vee. Vee gets hit and goes flying back towards a invisible wall. Vee has fainted. "Is Horn Drill a KO attack?" The Gym Trainer smiles. Gym Trainer: "Mhm. Anyways i'm gonna just give my Nidorino a boost if you dont mind..." A boost? She then walks forward and gives it some stone. The stone and Nidorino both react and they start to glow. "Huh?!"After a few seconds the glowing stops and Nidorino is now a Nidoking. "A Nidoking?!" Gym Trainer: "Thats right. Now if i recall we are still in a battle..." "Right." I return Vee and grab another pokeball. "Go Flora!" Flora comes out of the pokeball. She looks around and then notices the Nidoking beside her, which she jumps. Wow, I didn't know Flora could get scared.
