"Finally..." I walk out of the Gym and slams the doors shut behind me. "Phew." I close my eyes and look up. A few orange and yellow leaves then drift slowly around. The wind blows cold air and I lose concentration. "Right. I should get to the pokemon center." I start running past people in a hurry.

I should almost be there. I take take a corner and lean a bit to my left side as i almost crash into a family. I then continue to run before i come to halt. "Ah shit-" I forgot about these steps... I start to lean over as I couldn't stop myself in time. Which means- "Ack!" -I'll fall down the steps.

I land on the gravel, and wince in pain. "Ouch." I look up as I hear laughter from some kids. The kids are pointing at me and laughing. I get up and brush myself off. The kids then walk away, as i walk past them, still laughing. I then felt a warm ooze on my leg. Am I bleeding? I look down my leg and notice, my leg is starting to bleed. I mean it isn't all that big of a cut so I don't think I'll need a band-aid. "Man. Today must not be my day." I quickly get into the pokemon center and sit down.

Nurse Joy: "You ok?" I look up and see Nurse Joy who is looking at me. I blink in confusion but her eyes gaze to my leg. Oh. "Yeah i'm fine. Can you heal my pokemon though?" I grab my pokeballs and she takes them. Nurse Joy: "I will. Now wait here, ok? I'll get Chansey to inspect your leg." She walks away before I can saying anything else. Well great. Now a Chansey will be healing me. I put my elbow into the table and rest my chin onto my hand. Sigh.

Pyrafox: "Ethan, you good?" Pyrafox then walks up to me, Luis follows behind him. While Pyrafox is concerned I have Luis here trying to hold back laughter. Luis: "I'm sorry. You ok?" I pop my neck and face my friends. "Obviously... Anyways it was them steps out there." My friends look at me, glance at eachother and then look back at me.

"I fell." Pyrafox: Oh. I see now." I scratch and tilt my head. "Yeah. I was kinda in a rush to get here and i fell down... but hey, on the plus side i got my badge." I open my jacket and show my friends my Soul Badge. Luis: "Sweet." Pyrafox: "That's cool." I nod.

Afterwards I feel my phone, buzz in my short's pocket. "Hold on guys." I pull my phone out. It my mom. Which means I have to answer. "Hey Mother, how are you? W-why you calling?" Mom: "Happy Thanksgiving!" I pause. Wait, hold on there for a second. Today is Thanksgiving?! Ok, I gotta play it cool. "Ohh... you got me.? Happy Thanksgiving." How'd that go? I think I said that a bit dryly. God Darn it. Mom: "You ok?" I look at my friends and nod as if my mother can see them. ... "Oh, yes, yes. Sorry. So, uh, what about you?" My mother coughs. Mom: "Everyone else is doing good. They also what to say hi." I hear the phone get passed on, and I sit there awkwardly as my friends stare at me. Well maybe not a stare. Averie: "Hi Ethan!" Olivia: "How are you broski." Oh my god... "Don't call me that." Olivia laughs but doesn't say anything else. Mom: "Anyways, how has your journey been?"

"It has been good. I made some friends and-" My mom interrupts. Mom: "Really? That great." My mother than coughs again. "You good over there?" Mom: "Yeah. Im a bit sick but other than that, we're good." I look up at my friends and use my hands to tell them to go away for now. "Well, i guess that is good...? But, like i was saying- My adventure is good. I met some new pokemon!" I then hear my family all talk at once, I can't understand what any of them just said. "U-um. Anyways, i got to go. I'm gonna go have Thanksgiving...?" Mom: "Oh ok then. Bye!" "Bye." I hang up and sigh and I set my phone onto the table. Turns out my hand I sweaty now.

"Sorry about that. My mother called." Luis and Pyrafox turn to me and smile. Luis: "Its ok. Anyways, 'wanna head upstairs?" Upstairs? Did they get a room? "Sure?" Pyrafox: "Sorry. You must be confused. So basically while you were gone we decided to go and get some Thanksgiving food." My eyes get wide. Am i the only one that didn't know it was Thanksgiving? "O-oh. Thank you?" Luis: "Your welcome." I sigh. "Sadly Rylee won't be with us for Thanksgiving..." We all stay silent for a moment. Luis: "Yeah. I guess that sucks."

Pyrafox: "Anyways. We should get into our room. We got some food to eat." We all start going up the stair but then I stop all of a sudden. "I forgot about my pokemon, I'll be back as soon as i can." I go back downstairs and sit down. I then see Chansey walk over and look at my leg.

After about a minute, Chansey pulls out a band-aid and slaps it onto my cut. "What the-" Why did it spend a minute looking at my cut just to but a band-aid on it? Nurse Joy: "Your pokemon have been fully healed." I look over to the side to see Nurse Joy walking over with a tray of pokeballs. "Oh. Um, thanks." I grab my pokemon and stand up. Nurse Joy: "I hope your leg gets better." Its not broken, but thanks i guess. "Me too?" Nurse Joy and Chansey then walk away and go to their desk where other trainers are waiting.

Well I guess I should head upstairs then.
