Leaving Pallet Town, again

Oh? Did they not lock the door when I left?

I walk inside my house and I look around. It seems quiet.

I quickly walk into my room and I grab my Bag, Pokeballs and any other items I may need.

"Wait- Where is Vee?"

I then see a lot of movement out of my window and I peer out of it. Outside, Vee and Averie are playing around. Olivia sits in a chair, on her phone, with her Gastly next to her.

"Nevermind..."

I then walk outside. Everyone turns my way as they here the click of the backyard door.

"Hey, Vee! It is time to go!" Vee's ears pick up and she gives a cheerful cry, running towards me with a smile.

Averie follows shortly behind. Averie: "Vee, wait!" Averie then opens her hand, a little pink bow sits there. A small shiny sphere sits on the middle of the Stone. It looks like some Marble she attached to it.

Which is weird... because it looks like one of the stones Averie collected from when we went to Kalos...

Averie: "Keep it, ok?" Vee nods and grabs it with her two paws. Vee then clips it to her left ear and jumps onto my shoulder.

"Thanks...? Anyways, i'll see you guys another time." I walk inside, and I hear footsteps coming rapidly from behind me. Olivia: "You're not even going to say bye to your favorite sister?" I blink twice and shrug. "Ok, ok, fine. Bye, Olivia, Averie."

They smile and I run through the house to the front door. Averie & Olivia: "Byyee!" Me and Vee nod. We then open, lock the bottom lock, and close the door behind us as we go outside.

Phew-

"It kinda feels like when I left the first time..."

Vee looks at me confused as I look around at my house and the scenery around it.

It has felt so long since I first, left my house and went on my journey in Kanto... Now it seems to be drawing to an end now that the League is coming close.

How long has it actually been since I left?

Ring-Ring-Ring!

Oh!

I pull out my phone from my pocket, and I see Luis is calling me.

"Hello?" Luis: "Not trying to rush you buuut... WHAT IS TAKING YOU SO LONG?! We have waited here for about 5 minutes now!"

I laugh sheepishly.

"Riight... Sorry, it takes a while to get to my house." Luis sighs. Luis: "Yeah, that's true... well then, we will start heading into Route 1." "Alright, see you later then. Bye." Luis & Rylee: "Ok. Bye."

I hang up. Vee jumps onto my head and I start picking up my pace. I guess, I gotta run again...

A few minutes later...

...

"Well... we arrived at Route 1. And the others seem to be nowhere to be foun--"

Pyrafox: "ETHAN!!!"

I jolt and glance around myself. A shadow then casts above me and Pyrafox flies down on his Charizard.

"O-oh, its just you... phew-" Vee sighs and slumps down, her fur tickling my forehead. Pyrafox: "Have you seen a Tall guy in Black? He seems to have a Red R on his suit."

A Red R?

"Like Team Rocket?" Pyrafox nods. Pyrafox: "He seemed to be heading towards Viridian City. He disappeared into the trees when he noticed me."

"I wonder why Team Rocket would need to go to Viridian City..." Pyrafox reaches his hand out. Pyrafox: "Then, lets go! We have no time to waste! If something is about to go down- We can't stand around and do nothing!"

"... Right." He helps me up and I climb onto his Charizard. Once I am set, Charizard flies into the sky, heading straight for Viridian City.

...

We eventually land and we look around.

"I'll call the others, you scan from above!" Pyrafox nods as he climbs back onto Charizard. Some people look at Charizard as it fly into the sky, in awe.

I call my friends.

Luis: "Ethan?" "You guys should hurry. We noticed someone from Team Rocket heading into Viridian City. Me and Pyrafox may be overreacting but we sense something is about to happen."

Luis and Rylee pause, probably confused. Rylee: "Ok. We will hurry then." They hang up, and I stand alone with Vee.

"Vee. Start looking around. If you see anyone suspicious or in Black with a Red R on their suit. Wack me with your tail. And point your paw to their direction." Vee nods and gives a serious face.

I then jog around, Vee and me looking around.

...

Now that I think about it...

The last time I saw someone wearing a Suit, with a Red R, was in Celadon City. Now, what was the name...?

I can't remember it, but it is on the tip of my tongue.

Geo...Dude?

Wait- No...

Ohh shit. Does that mean that the guy heading our way is none other than the leader of Team Rocket himself?!
