Ethan's Pokemon Journey!

Pewter City

We wander around Viridian city, like headless chickens after my phone dies. We just kept getting lost, and every time we thought we would be getting somewhere, either a beedrill got us off track, or we ended up going another direction because...well, we're lost.

Rylee: "I say we stop here... my feet hurt." Rylee then sits on a log. Me and Luis look at each other and shrug. We sit down on the log, and start to fan ourselves some cool air, using our hands. The sun was beating down on us, and it's hot. Now I feel like we're drenched, full of sweat. Luis: "Now what?" No one else says anything, and we look at the forest around us. I see a group of Butterfree flying away. Their wings moist, and all slimy looking. Luis: "They just evolved." Rylee: "Beautiful." Then randomly, a pokeball hits one, and it gets caught. I jump and accidentally fall backwards off the log, while my friends just stay there, surprised.

We then see a kid with a net walk forward and pick up the pokeball. He notices us and walks towards us. Rylee: "Hello?" Bug catcher: "Hello. How are you guys doing?" We all look at each other. Luis: "You see... were sorta lost." Bug catcher: "Lost? Oh, follow me! I live in Pewter city." We all look at each other, and we could tell we were all thinking the same thing: We were saved!

After traveling with the bug catcher for 4 hours, we finally get to Pewter City.

Bug catcher: "And there you go!" He smiles and points at Pewter City. Me, Luis, and Rylee give a relieved sigh and make a mad dash for the city. "Thank you!" I wave to him bye, and I catch up to the others. We head to the pokemkm center and heal up our pokemon.

Nurse Joy: "Your pokemon are fully healed." Luis: "Thank you." Nurse joy: "No problem. We hope to see you again soon!" We grab our pokeballs and walk away. Rylee: "Why does she want our pokemom to get hurt?" Me and Luis look at her, confused. Rylee: "I mean, think about it. She said that she hopes to see us again soon, but people only see her when they need pokemon to get healed." Me and Luis pause for a minute to let it process in our brains and sigh. "Who knows?"

Anyways, with the sun starting to go down, we decide to go to the gym and at least make the trip worth it.

We stand outside of the gym, all of us nervous. It's gonna be our first gym battle... Luis: "I'm going first." Luis breaks the silence. "Hey! Seriously?" Rylee: "I'm fine with that, actually." Luis walks in the gym, and both me and Rylee stand outside. "Well, let's train up!" Rylee turns her head to me. Rylee: "I second that." We leave the front of the gym and go to battle some other trainers nearby.

After a few battles...

"Ben uses Bubble!" Ben then shoots bubbles out of its mouth, and they hit the foes Caterpie. Bug catcher: "Caterpie can't hack it!" Yeah! I get my prize money and walk to Rylee. "My 5th win." Rylee gives thumbs up to me without turning from her battle. I then go to the pokemom center to heal my pokemon. There, I met Brock, the Pewter city gym leader. Brock turns away from jersey joy after collecting his pokeballs. Luis then runs in. Luis: "Thank you for the battle, by the way, Brock!" Brock gives a slight nod and leaves. "That's the gym leader?" Luis then notices me and nods. Luis: "He specializes in rock types." Rock types? Ben should be able to go through the gym pretty fairly.

So I finally heal up my pokemon and head to the Gym once again.

Once in the gym, lights turn on, and Brock jumps off of a rock. Brock: "Welcome to the Pewter city gym! My name is Brock, I am the gym leader here." I nervously wave to him. No! I mustn't show him I'm nervous. I try to put on a serious face, but sweat still falls down my face. "Hi, my name is Ethan!" The gym leader nods and takes a step forward into the light. Brock: "Well? Let's have ourselves battle!" He throws a pokeball onto the battlefield, and a literal Rock pokemom comes out. "Right! Ben, go! Use Bubble!" Ben shoots the bubbles but miss. Brock: "Now use Tackle!" I pull out my pokedex before shouting: "Ben dodge it!" I then use the pokedex and see that it's a Geodude. "Now use Bubble!" Brock: "Now use Tackle!" Both pokemon get hit. Geodude faints while Ben is left in the red. "Dang it!... Ben return!"

"Vee, let's do this!" Vee jumps off my shoulder and onto the battlefield. Brock: "Geodude, you did good. Now Onix go!" Onix? He then throws a pokeball put and a huge snack made of rocks towers above Vee. Which not only Intimidates Vee, but me. "W-what?! Why is it so big?!" Brock chuckles. Brock: "THAT'S WHAT SHE - " Brock then pauses for a second. " - Anyways, like i was saying! Use Rock Tomb!" "Vee jump out of the way!" Vee barely dodges the attack. "Now use Sand-Attack!" Sand sprays on Onix, and its Accuracy lowers a little. Brock: "Now use Bind!" Onix then coils around Vee before squishing it. "Use Tail Whip!" Onix's Defense lowers before Vee faints to the Wrap attack.

"V-vee return." I return Vee into the pokeball and send out Ben. "Use Bubble!" Brock: "Use Tackle!" Onix gets hit by the bubble attack before launching itself into Ben, causing it to faint. "Huh?! Onix should've fainted from that!" Brock: "While yes, your attack was super effective, i have trained it to take bits from attacks like yours! Our defense just can't be beat!" I nervously sigh. Buzz is my last pokemon... and it's weak to rock types like Onix!
