Giving a Helping Hand 1

Hmph!

If it is Giovanni, then I want to be the one who beats him- I'll show him how strong I have gotten since we last met!

"I'll beat him this time."

Vee looks at me confused, and I shake my head. "Nevermind. Right now I just got focus in finding him."

...

We end up searching for about a few more minutes before a explosion echoes from near the Viridian City Gym.

"What was that?!" Person 1: "Where did that Explosion come from?" Person 2: "Mom. Im scared!" Other people's voices rise up from the crowd.

"Vee. We have to go look into it." Vee nods, and we start running towards the direction of where dust and smoke rises from the explosion.

As I run, a police car or two drive right past me and Vee, almost hitting the both of us. They must be in a hurry to check the scene.

"W-woah! That was a close one!" Vee nods, he fur all messed up. Vee hangs onto my shoulder and I run faster.

I then stop as a Fire truck drives around the corner, I jump back to the sidewalk and I sit down.

"T-that was a close one... again." Vee sighs and runs across the street once the Fire truck drives by. "Vee! Wait up!"

Suddenly as Vee runs around a corner, a net scoops her up.

"Vee?!" Before I can get to the corner, a group of 3 Team Rocket Grunts walk forward, Vee in one of their nets.

Grunt 1: "Heh heh... seems like we got something in the net..."

Grunt 2: "You want it back? Come and get it!"

They then all send out their pokemon.

The first Grunt sent out Golbat, and Raticate. The second Grunt sent out Hypno and Ditto. The last Grunt sends out Graveler and Weepinbell.

"Darn it! Vee hang in there!" I send Pixy and Max out, both if them immediately get into a battle ready stance.

"Vee give them a boost, Helping Hand!" In a second Vee gives a cheerful and my pokemon get a boost for their battle.

Grunt 3: "Ha! Weepinbell use Vine Whip grab them!" Grunt 1: "Raticate use Quick Attack!" Grunt 2: "Hypno use Hypnosis!"

"Pixy turn around and use Iron Tail! Max use Magical Leaf on Vee!"

Hypno tries to put Pixy to sleep but with Iron Tail, it reflects and puts Hypno to sleep. (Thanks Blaine.) Weepinbell then holds Max onto the ground and raticate then does combo attack. Max shoots Magical Leaf and before they can react, Vee escapes the net.

"Lets go! Vee use Sand Attack in the grunts!"

Vee then sprays Sand into their eyes and they rub them, trying to get the sand out of their eyes.

"Now, Max Return! Pixy use Roar, Ben Surf!"

I throw Ben's pokemon behind the grunts and as Pixy uses Roar and sends them and their pokemon backwards, Ben comes out and counters it with Surf. Vee jumps up and avoids the attack.

"Now finish it with Buzzy Buzz, Vee!"

Vee then fluffs her fur up and then shocks everyone and everything. When the water descends away, Weepinbell stands up, still trying to pull itself together.

"Alright! Flamethrower!" Weepinbell goes for a Vibe Whip and tries to get Pixy. But with her aigle movements, she avoids it and lands Flamethrower.

With that, Weepenbell faints along with its friends.

"Phew. That was a quick battle."

I return Pixy and Ben and I run to Vee. I go to pick her up, but with her Jolteon like fur and static electricity, she shocks me.

"Heey..."

Vee laughs and I set her into my shoulder before we continue to run towards the explosion.

It may be where Giovanni may possibly be. Team Rocket being in Viridain City seems suspicious, especially with the fact we found Giovanni earlier.

So, I bet the explosion was Giovanni.

And if it is... What did he explode? And why did he explode it...?

Wait... didn't I that explosion come from the Gym earlier...?

"The Gym!? Oh no! I need to get there as quickly as possible! I need to have my battle with the new Gym Leader soon!"

Running even faster, I head up the hill and towards the Gym.

Days like these make me wish I had a Fly Pokemon or something-

But nevertheless! I make it.

Some Police Cars and Fire Trucks block the Gym. Making sure that no one gets in. Inside, I can hear a fierce battle brewing.

The ground then shakes, and a huge piece of the building chips off and falls towards the cars.

The Officers and Firemen immediately shout to run.

It crashes into the cars and the trucks, crushing and breaking it.

"Holy- I gotta... I gotta see what is going on."

I run towards the building.

Officer Jenny: "Hey! Get back, now!" As she gets in my way, her Growlithe runs infront of her, giving a Growl to try and intimidate us. "I-I'm sorry!" I then throw a Pokeball out. "Ben! Surf!"

Ben comes out and with a Quick Surf, I sweep Offcier Jenny, and her Growlithe, away.

I take this chance to run inside the building, returning Ben.
