31. How it all started

Finding out-
23rd June 2008
Lucy is 17
Lucy's pov-
I read the pregnancy test. Pregnant. My eyes fill with tears, thoughts filling my head on what im going to do, i knew Jacob(my boyfriend) didnt want to be a dad
I drop to the floor sobbing
Jacob-"lucy?"
Lucy-"i..i..im pregnant j"
Jacob-"oh uh, im sorry lucy i have to go, dont call me"
And with that he leaves
I put my arms around my belly
I have no idea what to do, my career is just taking off, i cant have a kid
I pick up the phone and call my mum
Lucy-"m..m..mum"
Diane-"hey luce are you okay?"
Lucy-"i..i..im pregnant mum and jacob just left"
Diane-"give me 5mins"
She hangs up
5 minutes later theres a knock at the door
I open it and fall into her arms
Lucy-"what do i do mum"
Diane-"shshshsh darling one step at a time"
Lucy-"but mum, i cant have a kid"
Diane-"slowly darling, we will take it as it comes, lets sit down"
We sit on my sofa and i lay my head in her lap
Diane-"are you excited?"
Lucy-"i dont know, i know i cant be a mum yet, what about my career, i have no partner"
Diane-"lu-"
Lucy-"no mum i cant i know i cant"
Diane-"let it sink it and then we will make big decisions"
We sit together in a comfortable silence
Diane-"are you ok alone?"
Lucy-"yeah"
Diane-"okay bye darling love you"
Lucy-"love you too mum"
I close the door and my sofa engulfs me
I close my eyes and im soon asleep
The next day-
My head is still running around but i decide to get up to go to training while i can
I havent told anyone yet and i dont plan to
I get to training feeling drained
I train and quickly go home
Skip a 5 months
My bump is growing now but dtill no word from Jacob guessing were done now, ive kept in touch with my mum
Having the Baby-
28th March 2009
Lucy is 18
Lucy's pov-
Im going into labour
I am so scared
Im so alone, i have my mum who ill be living with, i havent played football since like 4months ago or something i cant even remember but luckily everyone thinks im injured and not having a baby
Lucy-"i..i c..cant do it mum"
Diane-"yeah you can darling"
Lucy-"n..n..no mum i cant"
Diane-"lucy calm down just breathe"
Lucy-"mu-"
Diane-"breathe"
I breathe in and out
Nurse-"you ready to go to the labour room?"
Lucy-"no but i dont have i choice do i?"
She shakes her head
I get wheeled to the labour room
1hour later i give birth
Nurse-"do you have a name?"
Lucy-"i..i..i think"
Nurse-"yeah okay, do you want to write it down?"
I write it down- Olivia Andrea Isla Bronze
Diane-"i like her name"
Lucy-"thanks mum"
I hold her in my arms slowly falling in love with her, although the thought of adoption lingering in my head
Diane-"shes cute luce, shes got your eyes"
Lucy-"she does doesnt she"
I stare at her cute little face
Diane-"well?"
Lucy-"well what?"
Diane-"are you keeping her"
Lucy-"i dont know mum, i will see how it goes"
Diane-"okay darling"
The next day im discharged, i go to my mums
A week later
Olivia keeps screaming down the house, im so tired and i know my parents are but theve been dealing with it
Until
Joaquim-"LUCY PLEASE CAN YOU MAKE YOUR MIND UP!"
Lucy-"w...what?"
"WITH THIS STUPID BABY ALL SHE DOES IS CRY!"
"WHAT DO I MAKE MY MIND UP ABOUT"
"ARE YOU KEEPING HER OR NOT!"
"i...i uh"
I stumble over my words
Diane-"everybody stop shouting!"
Joaquim-"NO! SHE NEEDS TO MAKE HER MIND UP AND IF SHE DOESNT I WILL"
Lucy-"YOU DONT GET TO DECIDE WHAT I DO WITH MY BABY!"
I quickly grab olivia and go back to mine
I walk through the door lay her down and cry
I text my mum
Lucy-mum can you come to mine please i need you
Diane-on my way darling
She gets here 5 minutes later
Lucy-"i..i cant do it anymore mum"
Diane-"cant do what"
Lucy-"her"
Diane-"lucy, are you totally sure"
Lucy-"i am mum i am, she doesnt deserve me"
Diane-"you are more then enough but if you feel you cant do it, then you cant do it"
Lucy-"i have to mum, theres better people out there"
Diane-"okay luce, i can't control what you do"
I ring the social services
Giving Olivia up-
There coming for Olivia today, i feel absolutely dreadful
Ive failed her i know i have
They take her to the car
All shes doing is screaming
She is 3 weeks old
She'll be better without me, i know she will
Social worker-"you did the best thing lucy, dont be to hard on yourself"
Im just crying
Social worker-"do you want to say bye?"
I nod
I walk to the car and say bye to her, probably for the first and last time
I go back to my house
Broken. I am. Broken.
I completely break and fall to the floor
I will never see her again
Moving to Manchester-
2014
Lucy is 23
Lucy's pov-
It still hurts all these years, i wonder how shes doing, how her new parents are like
Im moving to Manchester City
Im nervous
I get there
I do my first training session and do pretty well
I go back to my apartment
My first season i do quite well
The next season-
2015
Meeting Keira-
Lucy's pov-
The manager called us into the meeting room telling us we have new players
Coach-"girls listen up we have 2 two new players, be nice. Please welcome Georgia Stanway and Keira Walsh"
As soon as they walk in my eyes meet a very beautiful girl
Im not sure how old she is all i know is that she is bloody gorgeous
Coach-"I need two people to show them around"
I put my hand up hoping to show Keira around
Coach-"lucy! Do you want to show... Keira around?"
Lucy-"yes of course i would love to"
I quickly stand up and introduce myself
Lucy-"hiya im Lucy"
Keira-"h..h..hi"
She stumbles over her words
Georgia-"hi, im Georgia and thats Keira"
Lucy-"nice to meet youse"
Steph comes over
Steph-"hiya im steph, georgia your with me"
Geogia-"ok lets go"
They walk away
Lucy-"right shall we show you around"
I walk her around
Keira's pov-
Im so bloody nervous, not even because im here but because im being shown around by the most beautiful woman in this whole club
Keira-"i..i..i im so nervous"
Lucy-"your bound to be, i remember i was"
Keira-"yeah but like your Lucy Bronze and im keira walsh"
Lucy-"exactly, your keira walsh"
I slightly blush
Lucy-"we better get to the training pitches"
Keira-"lets go"
We go
We train
Lucy is so fucking fit but theres no way we feel the same

Keira is so fucking beautiful, but im way older theres no way she likes me
Steph comes over and drags me out of my thoughts
Steph-"if you like the girl tell her lucy"
Lucy-"what?"
"You can see by the way you stare at her, dont leave it to late"
"Thanks steph but theres no way she likes me either"
"Youd be suprised"
I was confused by her words
Training finishes and i walk over to keira
Lucy-"hi keira well trained today"

"Do you have a place to stay?"
"Uhh no actually"
"I have space if you want?"
"Are you sure?"
"Yeah no worries"

We go home im so scared
So so so nervous to be here with Keira
We walk in and sit down
Lucy-"what would you like to eat?"
Keira-"uhh you pick"
"Is pasta and uhh"
"Fries?"
"Sure haha"
I cook it for us, i put it on the table
We eat
Lucy-"do you want to watch a film?"
Keira-"sure"
Lucy-"lion king?"
"Yeah"
We watch it
Halfway through she falls asleep on my shoulder
My stomach explodes
I decide to leave her and fall asleep myself
She looks so peaceful and cute
She wakes up 2hr later, she needed that rest
Keira-"oh shit im so sorry"
Lucy-"its okay, you looked peaceful so i didnt move you"
Keira-"thanks i didnt realise i was that tired"
"Haha you seem to of needed it"
"Yeah i must of"
"How was your first day here?"
"It was ok, i was really nervous though"
"Thats to be expected, but you did train very well"
"Thanks lucy"
"Call me luce"
"Oh okay thanks luce"
I get butterflies from her calling me luce
Lucy-"are you staying tonight?"
Keira-"yeah if thats okay"
"Yeah of course it is keira"
"Call me kei if you want"
"Okay kei"
It gets to the time we need to sleep
Lucy-"you can sleep in the bed ill have the sofa"
Keira-"are you sure?"
"Yeah you deseve the sleep"
"Thanks"
She walks off and i take to the sofa
I wake up in the morning feeling heavier then normal, i open my eyes and kei is lay on top of me with her arms wrapped round me
Lucy-"kei?"
She jumps up
Keira-"i..i..i..im sorry i..i j..just w..was c..coo...cold and you looked comfy"
Lucy-"hey hey hey its okay breathe"
Keira-"a..a..are you sure?"
"Yes i like that you feel comfortable"
"Lucy i..i know ive only known you for like a day and i know that but i think i l..l..like you"
"Really?"
"Uh yeah i know you dont feel the sa-"
I kiss her, fireworks explode in my stomach
"Or maybe you do feel the same"
"Yes kei i feel the same, i like you to"
"Can we not label anything yet please, just take it slow?"
"Of course"
She sits back on the sofa once i move
Lucy-"i liked that you lay on me"
Keira-"maybe you could have the bed today?"
Lucy-"with you....?"
Keira-"we will see later" she gives me a quick kiss on the lips and walk off
Lucy-"training in 30"
"Okay thanks"
"Are we staying private?" I ask her
"Yeah if thats ok?"
"Yes of course"
"Your my first relationship, i want it to be right, not just because its my first but because its you"
"Your my first girl ive been with but not first relationship"
"What happened with the other/s?" She asks
"Oh i uh" i freeze not knowing what to say, i knew i couldnt tell her about olivia, id scare her off
"Ill tell you at a later time, is that ok?"
"Of course whenever you feel ready"
"Thanks"
We leave and head to training
Getting with Keira-
Lucy's pov-
A few weeks have passed, keira is living with me now permanently
Today i plan on asking her to be my girlfriend, we have kissed and that but i want her to be my girlfriend now
Lucy-"kei can i ask you something at home?"
Keira-"yeah everything ok?"
"Yup" i reply and run back to train
Steph comes over to me
Steph-"what are you asking her" she asks with pleading eyes
"Nothing" i quickly reply
"Sure sure lucy" she shouts over to me
I ignore her and finish training
I wait for keira to get in the car as i leave quite quickly
She gets in
"You ok you leave quite quick" she immediately asks
"Yeah just really nervous about something"
"Wanna talk?" She asks knowing i hate talking about my feelings
"No no its ok"
We get home
"Kei can i ask you that thing" i almost ask immediately
"Yeah sure luce"
"Ok so" i take a deep breath "ever since i saw you, im not gonna lie i fell in love with you, and im falling in love with you more everyday, i want to be with you forever, i want to put a label on us, i know you said take it slow but i cant wait anymore so Keira Walsh will you be my girlfriend?"
"yes yes yes yes! Of course i will luce"
I pull her into my embrace
"Kei?"
"Yeah"
"I love you"
"I love you to lu"
"Lu? Thats new"
"Yeah do you like it"
"I love it"
I kiss her
Keira's pov-
I just became Lucy's girlfriend. Lucy Bronze's fucking girlfriend. Wow. Im over the moon
Keira-"im so happy"
"Me to kei me to"
Telling Keira-
Lucy's pov-
Its a few months into mine and keira's relationship
Lucy-"kei i need to tell you something.... its time"
I notice her get worried
"Lucy dont"
"Nononono im not doing that, you know how when we first kissed and started talking i mentioned that you werent my first relationship"
"Yes"
"Ok so" i take a deep breath " before i tell you i want you to know you dont have to stay, ok so here goes i had a boyfriend at 17, i uh i got pregnant i told him and he basically ran oit of the house, i was left alone, i had her at 18, my mum helped me through it, but then when she was 3 weeks old, i decided it was best for her if she was given to someone else, so i gave her up for adoption and i was fully broke without her not going to lie, and today theres not a day that goes by i dont think about how shes doing or how her parents are treating her and that but i just thought you should know before you dive to deep and then have this" i look at the floor, she picks my head up with her hands, she wipes my tears with her thumb
Keira-"whats her name?"
Lucy-"i mean i named her Olivia but i dont know if its still the same"
Keira-"olivia what?" She asks curiously
"Uh"
"Im sorry for all the questions im just curious"
"No its ok, i named her Olivia Andrea Isla Bronze"
"Thats a really nice name, do you ever see her?"
I just shake my head
"Im sorry lu"
"Its ok"
Keira-"do you have photos of her?"
"Uhh i dont know"
"Have a look on your phone, i bet she looks like you"
I show her
Keira-"shes cute lu"

Lucy-"thanks kei, arent you going to leave?"
Keira-"i would never leave you for having a child lu"
"Really?"
"Yes lu, never ever"
"I love you kei"
"I love you to lu, and if i ever see her, i know ill love her to"
She kisses my lips slowly
