56. Merry Christmas

Lucy's pov-
Today is Christmas Eve, i have invited mine and Keira's family over but told them to be wary around liv as shes never met them before, she hasnt even met ours mum's let alone the whole families so i am quite worried, it is the 24th of December today so i have made myself,kei and liv all Christmas Eve boxes. i always loved Christmas, being around all my family, well not all of course. But now, i am going to be around all of my family  because i have my daughter, for the first year. My first Christmas with her.
Lucy-"morning babies"
They both slowly wake up
Keira-"morning my love"
I kiss her
Keira-"christmas eve today"
Lucy-"yeah i uh ive invited both families round"
Olivia gets figety
Lucy-"it will be okay liv i promise"
She shakes her head
Olivia-"they cant meet me, im a disappointment to the family"
Lucy-"hey hey hey, dont say that of course your not"
Olivia-"bet the rest havent been abused and self harmed and tried to commit"
I stay silent
Olivia-"exactly"
Keira-"hey that doesn't mean your a Disappointment of course it doesnt, it just means you have had a very difficult life and you have survived it"
She shakes her head and i look at the bed knowing its all my fault.
Keira-"lucy look at me"
My eyes stay glued to the bed
Keira-"lucy."
She gets her thumb under my chin so i look at her.
Keira-"look at me"
I make eye contact
Keira-"this is not your fault."
I dont speak, i love that she just knows what is wrong with me even though i havent said one word
Keira-"lucia"
"This is not your fault, ok?"
"Lucia this is not your fault"
I force a nod out although she knows i dont believe her
Keira-"olivia, you will be okay, we will be there every step of the way"
She nods
Keira-"come on lets get up"
Olivia's pov-
Mum just told me both her and mama's family are coming round, woo. Im so scared, i know im an embarrassment, a disappointment, there all going to hate me.
I keep quiet about it not wanting to ruin there Christmas with there families, theyve done it every year so im not going to get in the way of it. Ive heard of Christmas before but ive never celebrated it as i was always locked in my room so my foster parents friends could come round and get drunk with them and then theyd take it in turns to hit me so im a little nervous with what to expect.
A few hours pass by and i havent said much to my mum's about anything, and now they have notices
Keira-"liv whats wrong?"
I shake my head "nothing"
Keira-"olivia"
Olivia-"nothing dont worry about it"
She kneels in front of me
Keira-"talk now"
Olivia-"no i dont wanna ruin Christmas"
Keira-"of course you won't"
Olivia-"fine, i know your families will hate me and i..i..i dont really know/like Christmas"
Keira-"what why darling"
Olivia-"i..i..ive never really c..c..c..celebrate-"
Keira-"breathe baba"
My breathing quickens and i freeze
Keira-"calm, eyes on me"
My holds my hands keeping my eyes on hers
She put my hand on her chest and i follow her breathing, it slows and i carry on speaking
Olivia-"i..i ive never really celebrated it" i say super fast
Keira-"calm down take you time"
Olivia-"i was always locked in my room and then they would have friends come over and get drunk then the...theyd take it in turns to hit me so ive never really knew what it is"
She almost turns pale
Keira-"oh baba, we will show you what Christmas is wont we lu?"
Lucy-"course we will babygirl"
Keira-"so, we all get lots of presents, have dinner with all the family and soend quality time with eachother"
Olivia-"d..d..dinner?"
Keira-"yeah but you can have as little or as much as you want"
I nod
Olivia-"thank you mama"
I snuggle round her neck
Keira-"anything for you. Lu what time are they getting here?"
Lucy-"whats the time now?"
Keira-"2.30"
Lucy-"about 4-5 i think"
I look down and the floor and start fiddling with my fingers"
Keira-"there not going to hate you liv, me and your mum will be right by your side"
Olivia-"have you told them i dont like physical touch?"
Lucy-yeah we have dont worry babygirl"
I nod
A few hours pass and the doorbell goes,nerves kick in
Keira-"me or lu?"
I point to mama
Keira-"lu go get the door"
Olivia-"wheres narla?"
Keira-"narlaaaa"
She comes waddling over and jumps up
Olivia-"narlssss"
Keira-"are you ok with narla for two secs while i go say hi to my mum?"
I nod
Olivia-"be quick"
Keira-"of course" she gives me a quick kiss on the forehead and goes to the door
Olivia-"are they nice narla?"
She snuggles into me
Olivia-"take that as a yes"
Mama comes back in a few minutes later
Keira-"im back there all coming now, just sit here with me okay, all they will do is say hi at most"
I nod, nerves instantly building
She puts her hand on my knee and gives it a reassuring squeeze
Keira-"im right here baba, if you need space just go upstairs"
I nod and they all come in, it seems like a never ending chain of people until i see the last but most definitely not least, mum comes through
She comes and sits next to me putting her arm round us both
Lucy-"you ok babygirl"
I give a slow nod
Mums mum comes over
Diane-"hiya luce, ive missed you"
She gives her a hug
Diane-"oh olivia look how bloody grown up you are, i remember being there with your mum when she was pushing you right out"
Lucy-"okk thank you mum thats enough!"
I laugh
Lucy-"its not funny misses"
Diane-"how are youse doing anyway"
I look down
Lucy-"yeah were all getting there lets say"
Diane-"well Christmas tomorrow everyone loves Christmas eh?"
My eyes stay glued to the sofa knowing me answer is no
Diane-"right im off to find Tracey, luce i think jorge is looking for you"
She leaves
Lucy-"well done liv"
Olivia-"shes funny"
Lucy-"no she is not"
I giggle
Mum starts gently tickling me
Then mama's mum comes over
Tracey-"HIYA DARLING WE OK!?"
I flinch at the shouting
Tracey-"oh sorry love i didnt mean to scare you"
Keira-"hiya mum"
Tracey-"excited for Christmas?"
Keira-"looking forward to it yeah"
Tracey-"right im going to get a drink see you later guys"
Olivia-"why does everyone keep asking that?"
Lucy-"because its a thing where most kids are excited"
Olivia-"oh"
Lucy-"not everyone is though, i remember a year when i was stuck in lyon due to snowstorms, i wasnt excited then"
7pm-
Lucy-"Who wants the eve boxes?"
The little kids shout and im confused
Mama gives me mine
She sits next to me
Keira-"open it"
Olivia-"for me?"
She nods
I feel eyes burning on me
I shake my head
Olivia-"i i cant have this"
Keira-"of course you can"
I shake my head
Olivia-"but i haven't done anything to get it?"
Keira-"you dont have to liv, its Christmas"
Olivia-"really?"
She nods
I slowly open the box
I get a few cheers as people see im hesitant towards it, i see some random stuff but the best thing. Some matildas Christmas pjs.
Olivia-"wowwww"
Keira-"we know you love the matildas"
Olivia-"thank you mama, thank you mum"
Keira-"of course baba"
We play some boardgames and then go to bed at 10
I quickly get to sleep
Keira's pov-
Lucy-"im so nervous for tomorrow"
Keira-"i know me to, what if she hates it"
Lucy-"i know i know"
Keira-"come on lets sleep"
We both go to sleep
We wake up to the noise of screaming, i quickly dart my head up to see its partially liv screaming but also to the noise of screaming kids
Olivia-"OK OK IM GOING IM SORRY! ILL GO TO MY ROOM AND WAIT IM SORRY!"
Keira-"oh no, not today"
Lucy-"come on liv wake up for us"
Her eyes flutter
Lucy-"thats it liv come on wake up"
Her eyes open
Shes sweating
Keira-"you okay?"
She shakes her head
Keira-"ive got you"
She quickly sits on my lap while i rock her back and fourth
Keira-"baba?"
She nods
Keira-"are you ready to go down?"
She nods
Keira-"come on then"
Lucy-"ready for presents?"
Olivia-"i wont get any"
Keira-"pha youd be suprised"
Olivia's pov-
We go downstairs and see presents taking over the whole floor, and a few worried looks dart our way
Lucy-"were fine dont worry"
Olivia-"mum"
Lucy-"yeah babygirl?"
Olivia-"can you pick me up please"
Lucy-"course come here"
I wrap my arms around her neck and she picks me up
We find a little corner on the sofa and all sit down
Lucy-"liv can you sit in the middle please so i can hand presents out?"
I nod
Lucy-"right then"
She hands the presents out from under the tree, chloe and rach helped me with what to get so i have mine stashed somewhere
I quickly make my way upstairs and grab the bag
Olivia-"mummm, mamaaaa"
Lucy-"yea babygirl"
I walk into the front room with my bag
They both get one present out although they are for both of them.
Keira opens the photo of them, and lucy opens my debut man city shirt. The photo has 'thank you for everything mum's' on it, its a picture of us 3 and it comes with my debut shirt.
Lucy-"oh wow liv these are amazing"
Olivia-"and one more thing"
I hand them a piece of paper which they open together
Its a 'couples massage' for them both
Keira-"wow liv these are amazing!"
Lucy-"NOW YOURS IM WAITING!"
I sit next to them and get my presents, i have too many i know i do, im really hesitant to open them but mama reassures me there all mine. I get a few nike hoodies, joggers, a pair of trainers, then the two mum told me to open last. 1. A custom pair of boots 2. A phone. A phone. My breathing quickens but i manage to slow it down myself, i say thank you to them both putting off the panic attack but mama realises
Keira-"its yours and yours only i promise"
I nod
Tracey-"nowww me and Diane of course couldnt go without buying you something"
They hand me two more things, i try and tell them no but there having none of it. Three football shirts. 1. Lyon with Ellie Carpenter and 2. Matildas with Steph Catley 3. Matildas with Katrina Gorry
Olivia-"WOWWWW THANK YOUU"
Diane-"your welcome darling its the least you deserve"
Mum gets loads of other stuff to be honest but keira buys her a L necklace and a custom bracelet with Wonze4life engraved in it and some clothes, mum got mama a ring, new pyjamas, new trainers and some other random things.
Keira-"thank you baby i love them"
Lucy-"thank you for mine to"
Keira-"do you like your stuff liv?"
I nod
Keira-"nothing bad will happen with it okay?" I instantly know what shes talking about
I nod back
Tracey-"DINNER TIMEEE"
Everyone celebrates but i just fidgit with my hands knowing i dont want anything
Keira-"would you like to take narla on a long walk she hasnt been in a while?"
I quickly nod and get narla ready.
I quickly leave and head off for the long walk ahead of me
Keira's pov-
Tracey-"shes not ok is she kei?"
Keira-"shes getting there mum, just baby steps"
She nods
Tracey-"thats all you can do kei"
Lucy comes in
Lucy-"trace can i speak to you please"
Tracey-"yeah course, ill be back in a sec kei"
She leaves and i carry on the dinner
Lucy's pov-
I take tracey to another room and ask her one of the biggest questions i will ever ask
Lucy-"tracey"
Tracey-"bronze"
Lucy-"i need to ask you something really important"
She nods
Lucy-"can i please have your blessing to marry your-" im quickly cut off by her hugging me
Tracey-"of course you have my blessing lucy, you had it as soon as i met you!"
Lucy-"i think im going to do it in the Olympics final, given we get there of course"
Tracey-"that sounds perfect"
We go back to Keira to help her finish off dinner
Throughout dinner all i can do is worry about liv, i know why she left but im worried. Keira holds my thigh and gives it a squeeze
Keira-"shes okay"
I nod
We finish dinner and 20 minutes later she walks in
Lucy-"THERE SHE ISSS"
Keira-"liv come on baba were watching home alone"
She quickly runs in and sits on our laps
Sne snuggles into us
Olivia-"thank you for my presents mum's"
Lucy-"thank you for ours to they were beautiful"
She quickly falls asleep just like her mama
This has been my favourite Christmas ever.
