40. First Game

Saturday
Olivia's pov-
I am. So. Fucking. Nervous.
I already know im going to have a panic attack, i know its going to be bad.
My game is an early kick so i wake up at 8
My kit is with the academy so i wear my training kit
In my house there is an option for me to have my own room but i choose not to as i dont like being away from my mum's, also why i go everywhere i can with them. They both mean the absolute world to me.
Olivia-"mum, mama, time to wake up"
I lay there fiddling with my fingers
Mum wakes up first
Lucy-"your just like me"
Olivia-"what do you mean mum"
Lucy-"your fingers and your leg whem your nervous, and the panic attacks, keira has always been amazing with dealing with nerves, although she thinks she hides her nerves well i see straight through her, i know when shes nervous"
Olivia-"i know yeah, mama is amazing with them, your good to but you know"
Lucy-"uh rude" she acts offended "i know i get it"
I nod back
Mama wakes up
Olivia-"morning mama"
Keira-"morning baba big day you ok?"
Olivia-"no i know im going to have a panic attack i just dont know when"
Keira-"when you do, ill be right here"
Lucy-"right breakfast"
Olivia-"im not hungry"
Lucy-"im making bacon"
She goes downstairs
Keira-"come on baba you need something"
Olivia-"here it comes mama"
Keira-"ive got you baba, let it all out"
Olivia-"w...w...what if i let the team down, or w...w..what if i mess up ir i..i dont know mama what if i..it all goes wrong"
My breathing quickens
My eyes start to lose focus and fill with tears
I start scratching at my skin so mama grabs them
Keira-"this is a bad one isnt it"
No response
Keira-"right liv, thats long enough on your own, look at me" she puts my hand on her chest "breathe liv follow me, in and out in 1.2.3.4.5 thats it keep going,you can do this nice and slow, now keep breathing slowly but look at me liv refocus your eyes look at me liv" i look at her "yes there you go liv now talk to me"
Olivia-"m..m..mama?"
Keira-"ive got you"
She quickly takes me into her arms
Keira-"you ok baba?"
Olivia-"i..i..i think"
We go downstairs
Lucy-"did it happen babygirl?"
Olivia-"yeah but mama was there"
Lucy-"isnt she always"
"Bacon?" Mum asks me "uhh just a tiny bit please" i reply
She gives me a bit
Keira-"its 8.30 now weve got about half an hour to 45 minutes until we have to leave"
Olivia-"ok"

Olivia-"bye narla, wish me luck" she barks
Olivia-"god im scared"
I can tell my mum's are and they just arent saying
The car ride was silent,but a comfortable silence, everyone in their own heads
Mum was driving, mama had a hand on her thigh
Lucy-"were there babygirl"
Olivia-"o..o..ok"
Lucy-"breathe babygirl"
We get out
They go to the stands
There only mainly families here
I go to the changing rooms
Coach-"morning everyone, this is our first game of the season the team is" (A/N- I DONT ACTUALLY KNOW THE U15 TEAM NAMES SO THESE ARE ALL MY IDEAS!!)"the formation is 4-2-3-1

Ivy-"yesss oliviaaa startingg"
Olivia-"wow"
Ivy-"you should be there, you deserve it, are your mum's here?"
Olivia-"yeah and then they play tomorrow"
Ivy-"oh nice"
Ivy-"HUDDLE UP GIRLS!"
We all get into a huddle
Ivy-"right girls, keep focus, first game of the season, first game for some, take chances, keep tight and just do your best, city on 3"
Team-"1,2,3, CITY!"
We all go out to the pitch
Im so nervous
These nerves are very much nerves but then theres also the butterfly feeling in my stomach before a game
But then my breathing quickens
Olivia-"no..no not here" i quietly whisper to myself
Keira's pov-
Im ready for the game to start and i see liv stiffen up
Keira-"oh shit lu look at liv"
Lucy-"no no no not here"
I look down and see Ivy close to us
Keira-"IVY!"
She turns confused but then sees me
Keira-"i need you to tell liv to breathe for me please"
Ivy-"okay ill do it now"
Olivia's pov-
My breathings getting to fast soon i wont be able to stop it
I see Ivy talking to mama and then run over to me
Ivy-"olivia, keira said breathe"
Olivia-"o..o..ok"
She runs back to position
I look at mama
She nods at me and does a deep breath animation so i know what shes doing
I copy her and it gets slower
She nods at me
The ref then blows the whistle
The game has started
Liverpool have had most of the ball but then i see an opportunity to pounce, there was a loose ball by the captain back to the keeper
I sprint to win the ball, take it around the keeper and score
GOAL- OLIVIA- 25MINS
Ivy-"YESSS"
Ella-"yes Olivia go onnnnn"
The game restarts
We have a corner
Ivy puts it in, i get my head to it and it goes in top corner
I run to Ivy
Olivia-"what a corner"
Ella jumps on my back
Ella-"what a header"
I go back to position
Both my mum's have that 'proud' look on their face
I do a heart to them both
GOAL-OLIVIA-43MINS
Halftime
I go into the changing rooms
Lucy's pov-
Lucy-"hey kei im going to post a photo of being here and tag you is that ok?"
Keira-"yeah course ill do the same"
Lucy-"thats going to confuse everyone"
Keira-"dont we always" she says laughing
Lucy-"im so proud of her kei"
Keira-"me to baby me to"
Lucy-"i love you kei"
Keira-"i love you to lu"
The second half-
Olivia's pov-
The second half has just kicked off
We start good, controlling the game
Liverpool have a corner, Millie clears it away, Ivy boots it up the pitch, now. Its a race between me and their right back. They have an upper hand but if im anything like my mum, i can get there.
I get there a few seconds in front now I have to face a 1v1 against their keeper. I can beat Lucy Bronze in a 1v1, i can beat this keeper.
I go to take it round her and as i take a step i leave my standing foot there so she grabs it. Penalty.
Olivia-"come onnn"
Ivy-"olivia you should take this"
Olivia-"what?"
Ivy-"thats our rule mostly, whoever wins it takes it"
Olivia-"ok"
I pick the ball up and place it on the spot
As much as i want to look at my mum's, i don't, i take a deep breathe, few steps back, Bang.
Hit.
GOAL-OLIVIA-65MINS
Ivy-"YESSSS OLIVIAAAAA"
The game restarts
I pick the ball up in the middle of the pitch, ella makes a run
I see it.
I play the ball perfectly over the top and she hits it straight in the back of the net
4-0.
GOAL-ELLA-75MINS
I think to myself that, that goal was just like tooney's in the euros, especially with the goalscorer being called ella.
We keep the pressure on and score 2 more.
8-0.
I got a hattrick and 2 assists.
Coach-"very well played girls, Olivia Bronze-Walsh what a first game"
I go shy
Coach-"well done girls, are any of youse going to the women tomorrow"
Sophia-"i think i know someone who might be" she looks at me
Olivia-"yeah i am"
Ivy-"dont you always" she laughs
Olivia-"well i mean its not a bad thing"
Coach-"right girls if you are going, i might see you there if not enjoy your weekend see you Tuesday"
We leave
I go to my mums's
Lucy-"WHAT. A. DEBUT. OLIVIA. BRONZE-WALSH."
I laugh "haha thanks mum"
Keira-"that was brilliant, im so fucking proud of you, ignore my language, but i am so PROUD of you"
Lucy-"i second that, we are soooooo fucking proud of you babygirl"
Olivia-"thanks"
"I think this deserves celebratory pancakes" mama whispers in my ear
Olivia-"ooo yeah mummmmmm"
Lucy-"yeah babygirl"
Olivia-"i thinkkkk i deserves some pancakes"
Lucy-"of course you can have pancakes babygirl"
Olivia-"yayyyy thank you mum"
I jump at her.
She catches me and carries me to the car.
