Monday, Week 1

Sebastian spent his whole weekend in the Undercroft.

He cried, he cast every damaging spell he knew at the helpless barrels, boxes and bits of furniture, he used reparo, he'd succumb to sleep on the floor after sheer exhaustion and repeat.

But by Monday morning, his stomach ached with pain and his tears ran dry. So, Sebastian finally left.

He managed to avoid Ominis in the dormitory and finally scrubbed himself clean in a bath, layers of debris from days and nights spent in the dirty, dusty Undercroft browning the water.

When Sebastian felt clean enough, he stepped out of the bath and wrapped a towel around himself, shaking off his hair and looking at his reflection in the mirror.

His eyes were sunken, dark circles lining them and his face was paler than normal. He looked like utter shit.

Sebastian sighed, running a hand through his damp hair and turning away from the reflection he now hated. But he supposed sleep could come later.

He dressed in his uniform sluggishly and forced his legs to carry him to the Great Hall where he took a piece of toast on the go, not really wanting to linger and answer any questions about his whereabouts or about Rosie's sudden disappearance.

Sebastian managed to force the toast down his throat with a gag and made his way to class, choosing strategically to sit at the back of all of his classes, walking in right as they started so he didn't have to socialise at the risk of getting a detention. And when the day ended, he went right back to the Undercroft and slept amongst the dust again.

Friday, Week 1

Sebastian decided he needed his sister. He didn't care if Solomon was there. Though, he wasn't impressed when Sebastian knocked on the door on a Friday night.

"Boy, what on Earth—"

But Anne saw the grief and sadness on Sebastian's face and went tearing across the small cottage to drag him inside before any more damage could ensue.

"I'll make us some tea and we'll go to the shack and talk, okay?" Anne said, shushing him and sitting him down in front of the fire to warm up.

Sebastian nodded slowly.

Solomon went back to whatever he usually does, ignoring the twins and when the tea was ready, Anne tapped Sebastian on the shoulder and handed him the tea to carry so she could gather some blankets.

The twins made their way into the shack, taking a seat each on the mattress that Sebastian really didn't want to be looking at. But, he certainly didn't want to be around Solomon right now, so he simply had to forget the events that had occurred on it. Anne threw a blanket around his shoulders and he passed her a tea, watching her take a long sip and she sat down next to him.

"So. What happened? I know something has happened." Anne began.

Sebastian sighed hard. He didn't know how much to tell Anne, if he should even tell her anything at all. Anne did know he was, at the very least, intimate with Rosie.

"Rosie left."

Anne gave Sebastian a look of pity, and he immediately felt a lump forming in his throat. He swallowed hard, trying to control the tremor in his voice as he spoke.

"Don't give me pity, Anne." Sebastian said with a huff.

"I'm not, Sebastian. I just want to understand. You were clearly um... well, you obviously cared for each other a certain amount, or so I assume based off—"
