"Alright, Miss Callahan, I think the arm is all healed. We'll remove the cast today." Nurse Blainey said, turning Rosie's arm around to inspect it.

Rosie simply nodded and sank back in her chair as Nurse Blainey collected what she needed for the removal.

It had been a week since Sebastian had cut Rosie off from his life and while that made her task easier in theory, it was actually proving quite difficult.

Sebastian ignoring her meant she never got him alone. Sebastian ignoring her also meant her heart was aching and her mind constantly replayed the last conversation they had. The memory of his harsh words telling her to leave echoed in her ears, making her wonder if there was any chance of him ever forgiving her, for ever giving her the opportunity to explain herself.

As Nurse Blainey carefully cut through the cast, Rosie couldn't help but let her thoughts wander. She missed Sebastian. His laughter, his comforting presence, the easy way they used to talk about everything.

Once the cast was off, Rosie flexed her fingers, feeling relieved to have the use of her arm back. Nurse Blainey handed her a small parchment with exercises to help regain strength in her healed arm written on it.

"Take it easy, Miss Callahan. Don't push yourself too hard," Nurse Blainey advised before leaving the room.

Rosie sat alone, contemplating her next move. As much as she told herself she didn't, she knew she had feelings for Sebastian. She knew there was no way she'd be able to kill him. She'd have to delegate... or tell him the truth and make him promise he won't turn evil before leaving the timeline... or just stay here forever and keep a close eye on him from a distance.

As she sat with Andrew Larson at the Ravenclaw table, listening to him talk about some star he and Amit Thakkar were observing last night, she kept glancing over at the Slytherin table, watching him ignore Ominis in the same sort of fashion. Pretending to be interested when you really don't want to be.

She was snapped out of her trance when an owl she didn't recognise dropped a letter right into her lap.

"Oh! You never get mail!" Andrew commented with a grin.

"You're right." Rosie said with a confused brow, "I don't."

She spun the letter over and saw it signed with A.S. on the back.

She tore it open quickly and pulled out a letter with probably the neatest handwriting Rosie had ever seen.

"Rosie,

Can we meet? I know you're not supposed to leave the grounds, I'm sure I'll be able to get away for an hour or two while Solomon is off on his errands. Can we meet near the school entrance at lunch?

Anne."

Rosie's heart skipped a beat as she read the letter. Anne wanted to meet with her. No doubt to demand answers for hurting her brother. Tucking the parchment into her robe pocket, she nodded at Andrew, offering a quick excuse about needing to check on something before class.

When she reached the entrance after classes, Anne was already waiting, her coat firmly tucked around her and scarf clinging to her neck. Rosie had never seen Anne in this light before, and realised just how ill she looked. She was reminiscent of Sebastian, but if she didn't know any better, she wouldn't have thought they were twins. She looked almost ghastly.

"Rosie," Anne greeted her with a warm smile. "I'm glad you could make it."

Anne ushered Rosie to a small bench just outside the castle walls and the two sat down, Rosie nervously tapping her foot on the cobblestone path below.
