"What do you mean your great grandfather?" Sebastian asked as he redid the buttons he'd done up all crooked on his shirt in their haste to get out of the stable.
"It means what it means. I've known he's been my great grandfather for a while. I was hoping to never have to engage with him but I wasn't going to let him disrespect Ominis like that." Primrose explained.
"So... explain the relation?"
Rosie rolled her eyes and sighed. "My mother's maiden name is Fawley. Her father, Marshall, is Hector's son."
"Gross." Sebastian said, before his eyes flicked to Rosie and he saw her stern look. "Uh, sorry. I just can't stand the guy and can't believe anyone would choose to breed with him."
"Disgusting, Sebastian! Don't call it breeding."
"Well, that's what it is!"
Rosie shook her head as they continued to head back into the castle, legs giddy and mind swirling with the thoughts of what they'd just done. "Should we go and find Ominis?"
"I suppose we should. I can walk you back to your common room?" Sebastian suggested.
"Actually, I'd like to come with you, if that's okay."
Sebastian nodded. "I suppose. Probably best, I guess. He's still not on the best of terms with me."
Rosie agreed and followed Sebastian to the dungeons, finding Ominis sitting on a chair in front of the fire in the common room when they returned. He wasn't doing anything in particular and was simply picking at his fingernails with his ankles crossed.
"Ominis." Sebastian said gently, standing in front of him. "You alright?"
"I am fine, Sebastian." Ominis replied coldly.
Sebastian observed his friend, watching him fidget uncomfortably in the chair. So Sebastian sat down on the cool floor below, stretching out his legs with a heavy sigh.
"You know," Sebastian began, pulling on a thread on the hem of his robe. "We can still talk. I don't want you to shut me out."
Ominis shifted in his seat again, unsure of what he could even say. "I do know we can talk and I am grateful for that despite what I did but, I'd rather not dwell on it."
"Alright. Well, I had an idea on my way here. Something that might help you dispel any rumours, even if they might be true." Sebastian said with a smug grin.
"You know how I feel about your ideas, Sebastian." Ominis trailed off.
But Sebastian simply smirked and craned his neck, peering around the common room. "Reyes!"
Imelda let out a loud grunt from across the common room and bellowed back "What do you want, Sallow?!"
"C'mere!"
Imelda's loud and angry footsteps filled the common room and she stopped with a huff between Ominis and Sebastian, arms folded across her chest. "What?"
"I have a proposition." Sebastian began.
"Ew! I know you think you're some sort of catch and have Callahan wrapped around your disgusting little finger, but I refuse!" Imelda immediately said, jumping on the defensive.
"God, ew, no!" Sebastian scoffed, "I know you'd never like me because you don't like the certain thing I've got between my legs. And I am a catch, thank you very much."
"Will you shut the fuck up?!" Imelda seethed, her voice low.
Sebastian watched her fidget and knew his assumption was correct and his plan may just work. "Gladly. So, given your reaction just now, I assume you don't want people to know that bit of trivia about yourself."
