"Hi."
Sebastian flopped down onto the bed abruptly, causing Rosie to groan as she bounced.
"Can you be a little bit more delicate, please?" She whined.
"Certainly." Sebastian obliged, softly scooting his way towards her and placing a hand on her large belly, waiting for the feeling of their child moving about, likely to evade his annoying hand.
Rosie huffed, but let her husband's hand continue to pester their unborn.
"How's Anne?"
"About as miserable as you," Sebastian chuckled.
Rosie rolled her eyes. "Very sympathetic towards pregnant women, aren't you?"
"Hey, I didn't say anything incriminating." Sebastian sat back a little, attempting to defend himself.
When she really thought about it, Sebastian was probably overwhelmed. He had a pregnant wife and when they broke the news to Anne and James that they were expecting another baby, Anne threw them a curveball and exclaimed that she was pregnant too.
With twins.
A shocking revelation given the fact Anne wasn't sure if she would ever be able to bear children given how long she was riddled with the curse.
And when they told Isabelle about the new arrival and Anne's twins, she also broke the news she was expecting too.
Three large and heavily pregnant women, all due within a month of each other.
Sebastian, James and Lewis caught up at the pub every Friday to decompress.
Rosie sighed, leaning her head back against the headboard as Sebastian's hand continued its pursuit of their child's elusive movements. "You're getting away with a lot, considering you're out every Friday with the boys while I'm stuck here feeling like a whale with a toddler."
Sebastian flashed a grin. "It's not my fault you're all pregnant at the same time. It's almost like you three planned this..."
"Oh, yes." Rosie said sarcastically with a roll of her eyes, "We had a secret meeting, synced our cycles, and decided to torment you all at once, just for a laugh. It's been the plan from the start."
"I knew it." Sebastian chuckled as his fingers continued to caress her soft stomach. "Really though, how are you today? Not long to go, I can't imagine it's very comfortable."
Rosie let out a long breath. "Tired. Heavy. Anne's probably feeling worse, though. Twins? I can't even fathom it."
"Well, I had heard they run in families..."
"Oh, fuck off, Sebastian," Rosie groaned nudging him off her, "Your ridiculous swimmers might be capable of a lot of things but not hyperfertilisation."
"You never know..."
Rosie threw him that wife glare, the one that always got him to retreat before he put his foot in his mouth, "We do. You've been to ultrasounds. This isn't what your mum went through."
"Hm,' Sebastian hummed in thought, "Can't imagine that'd be a nice surprise."
"No, especially when you have one perfect daughter that is unexpectedly followed by a loud, screaming and obnoxious son."
Sebastian huffed and folded his arms across his chest, "Now I hope you get blessed with surprise twins."
Rosie scowled at him again. Seemingly a common occurance lately, "And I hope they slip with the knife during your vasectomy and actually snip off your–"
