The morning sun filtered through the window, casting a warm glow over the dorm room. Faye sat perched on her bed, recounting last night's escapade to her roommate, her voice brimming with excitement.

"You should have seen it, Amy! We went to this gathering and the music was just something else," Faye gestured, reliving the fervor of the previous evening.

Amy grinned, captivated by Faye's enthusiasm. "Sounds like you had a blast. But wait, what band was playing? You never mentioned the name," she inquired.

Faye's expression faltered for a moment, realizing she hadn't caught the band's name during the commotion of the night. "You know what? I actually don't know. It completely slipped my mind," she confessed, disappointment evident in her voice.

Amy chuckled softly. "Well, maybe you'll run into your friend again and ask him about it?"

"Yeah, you're right," she nodded, determinated to uncover the band's identity. "I need to find Blake and ask him about that band. There was something special about their music, something that stayed with me."

As Faye finished recounting her night to Amy, a newfound goal settled within her. She was resolute in seeking out Blake the know about the band that had left an indelible impression on her.

She hurried back from her lunch break and spotted Blake strolling across the campus. Without hesitation, she quickened her pace to catch him before their paths diverged.

"Hey, Blake!" Faye called out, waving to catch his attention.

Blake turned, lighting up his face as he greeted her. "Faye, what's up? Fancy meeting you here!"

"Listen, I've been meaning to ask you about last night," she began, her eagerness palpable. "That band... They were amazing! Do you happen to know their name?"

"Ah, you mean Nirvana!" His eyes sparkled with amusement. "They're friends with the host. Actually, they're pretty well-known in the scene already, but they were there just for kicks, you know? A more intimate setting than their usual gigs."

"Nirvana!" Faye repeated, the name resonating within her. "I've got to remember that. I'd love to see them perform again."

"You're in luck," he grinned. "They're playing live this weekend. It's going to be a blast. Wanna tag along?"

Faye never had a doubt in answer that. "Absolutely! Count me in!"

As she turned to head back to class, Blake called after her once again, "Oh, and they've got an album out already! You might want to give it a listen before the show!"

Nirvana – a name that held the magic of last night's unforgettable music. She hurried back to her lectures, her mind filled with the prospect of witnessing Nirvana's performance that upcoming weekend, which was just two days away.

After her classes, Faye was consumed by the quest to find their album. She scoured through various shops until finally stumbling upon it, tucked away in a corner of a record store. "Bleach", her fingers running through the tape, she immediately donned the store's headphones and pressed play on the cassette.

As the initial tracks blared through the headset, a surge of exhilaration coursed through her veins. Each note resonated with an intensity just like last night. Yet, it was when "About a Girl" began to play, with its Beatles-ish vibe, that Faye knew she had found something truly special.

She purchased the album and practically danced her way back to the dorm, eager to share her newfound treasure. To her delight, she found Amy in their room, and without skipping a beat, she excitedly recounted her discovery of Nirvana's album and her upcoming plans to see them perform live.

"Wait, Nirvana? I've heard of them!" Amy exclaimed.

"You have?", Faye beamed, feeling a surge of connection. "You've got to come with me to their gig this weekend."

The roommate hesitated for a moment, but then a playful smile crossed her face. "I'd love to! And hey, since we're on the topic of going out, how about you accept my invitation too?"

Faye, still riding the high from her recent discoveries and eager to delve further into the city's offerings, didn't hesitate. With plans for an exciting weekend and a spontaneous evening ahead, Faye felt that somehow she was connecting. She was ready to embrace the outgoing part of her.
