insanity blinked his eyesockets, eyelights flickering on.

He slid down from the worn chair, landing on his rump with an 'oof'. He glanced at Dust and Killer, wobbled to his feet, then took off. He toddled into the hall then down into the cracked and dusty halls of the ruins. he wasnt as scared as he had been when they showed up. The purple walls were almost comforting. He wandered down the hall, playing with rocks and blowing the dust around till he came to the door.

The walls were cumbling slightly and rained dust on him as he opened the door. the door wasnt hard to open, but the second he let go and stepped into the snow the door closed. He jumped as It slammed shut. He squeaked and tried franticly to get it open but it wouldnt budge. He let out another terrified squeak like whimper and turned back to the snow, his spine pressed to the door.

he could hear the monsters prowling about in the snowdin forest and wasnt eager to be their next meal, but he couldnt stand doing nothing. he tentatively step forward from the door, watching his yellow rubber boots crunch in the snow.

It wasn't that bad.

Right?..

 Boy had he been wrong.

he walked carefully through the snow, heading towards town. He stepped carefully over the broken stick. he froze when he got to the bridge, A shadow behind him.

"Hey kid, Wontcha greet a new buddy?" Insanity turned to face the skeleton in Brown."wait.... Was that the correct line? No, oh! Dont you know how to greet a new pal? Yeah! That was it." he smiled maliciously at Insanity.

the toddler tilted his head at the malicious looking skeleton, He didnt seem as dangerous as he was trying to look, "You're not papa. Don't try to take his place."

Insanity bravely turned his away from him, stepping onto to bridge. he got to about the middle of the bridge when the skeleton in brown flipped over the the bridge, a cracked paintbrush pointed at him with red paint.

"alright, listen up brat." his once blue squiggly shapes that made up his eyelights now were awhite pinprick and a red honing target. "I tried to show mercy by letting Ink handle my work but hes been too depressed to even look scary!" he growled.

His not so malicious smile was now a terrifying smile like black hole. Insanity stepped back in terror. This was not the same skeleton he had just turned his back on. No this was something diffrent entirely. The toddler couldnt move, his knees shaking in his bright yellow rain boots.

"now, Dear, dont move. Youll see your uncle Dream soon if you stay calm and don't struggle." He reached for him and he couldnt move. He found himself sucked up and lost in the empty blackholes that made up the skeletons face.

"INSANITY!" a voice cried, jarring the child from his inablity to think. He was knocked back before be had time to register the voice as Killer's his mom.

He landed in the snow with a thump and an oof. "mama!" he cried In fear. He didnt want his mother hurt. He saw a flash of red swipe from in front of Killer, some landing on his own cracked skull. He yelpped at the sudden pain. It felt like nothing he had ever felt before but he forced himself not to start crying as he watched his mother fall to the ground.

he rushed to his mothers side in a panic, the red paint seeping into the grey sweater. Killers hand was clutching his red and white target like soul as he scooted away from Ink. "I-insanity...S-sta-stay back." his breathing quickly became labored and heavy as he tried to hold Insanity back.

"no! mama! Bad monster!" Insanity cried, his magic summoning a Gaster Blaster. He wiped the red paint from his head but it had alread caused damage, slightly widening to crack in his skull. As his hand flicked the paint from hishead the blaster went off.

It wasn't as big as his mamas or daddys blaster but it was powerfull for its size. Ink fled in a black puddle before it could hit him, causing it to burn through some trees.

Insanity turned to face Killer, horror on his face as he saw the target flicker with the red paint. a ghost child like figure flickered besides Killer, seeming to be in the same pain

*Use your power well, i certainly didn't. Dont make the same mistake.*

It whispered to him before flickering out again."Mama!!" Insanity collapsed in the snow, pulling him into a hug. "Mama dont go! he cried, not caring about the black tears that streamed from his mothers eyesockets, or from his mouth. It stained his deep red sweater black but he couldn't care.

"its okay.. ugh.." Killer winced, groaning in pain."Mama always comes back.." he whispered leaning into his sons warmth, realizing his body felt cold. Insanity started crying, hugging Killer closer.

Killer looked down at the red slash of paint thtnow decorated his chest, at his hand that was now fading to dust. "insanity, give me your hand." he whispered.

Insanity slowly gave his mother his hand. He felt him drop something in it and close his open palm. His hands gently held Insanitys as they slowly turned to dust against Killers will. "hold on to this okay?" he whispered.

Insanity nodded, not caring what the small item was but that Killer had given it to him. "okay" he choked on a sob as he felt the body in his arms lighten.

"I love you, Insanity. I love Horror and Dust...and It'll be okay, Insanity.." he whispered. His body fading to dust in Insanitys arms.
