Three simple words. But the meaning behind it shattered Blues understanding of the world. What he knew of the world was the dark sanses didn't give a fuck about anyone but themselves. His understanding of the world was nobody cared how he felt. He was a minority and inadequate.
His understanding broke, here he was being coddled by one he thought hated his nonexistent guts being told to let his emotions show because he cared. They all cared. The dark sanses cared for others. He felt the wall the held his emotions burst apart.
Every ounce of anger, sadness, resentment, guilt, grief, despair, regret, frustration, fear, and pain he had pent up over the years since he was able to have memories, flooded his mind. He felt Nightmare jump at the sudden burst of emotional negativity. He glitched and sniffed, his eyes pricking and Nightmare hugged him tightly. He refused to let the tears drop. Memories he had forgotten came back. A memory was of papyrus. But not the papyrus he knows now. No, this one was kinder, sweeter, and overall a better person.
"Hi" a voice said sweetly. Blue looked up at the orange eye lights of the tall skeleton child. "I'm Papyrus! Your older brother." Blue felt himself being swayed in Papyrus arms.
Blue was crying.
"Hey. Hey hey hey." Blue saw Papyrus's hands reach for him. "It's okay. It's okay. Sans. It's okay..." again Blue was swaddled and swaying in Papyrus's arms. Only to fall right back asleep.Blue saw Undyne fix her glasses. He was laying on a weighing machine. He kicked his legs and gurgled at her.
"How's he doing?" A voice that Blue couldn't see asked. It sounded like Papyrus and he giggled again.
"Oh! Um... he's doin great Papyrus, he is chock full of energy he wont stop giggling. He's so cute!... it makes me wonder where you found him... i thought you were the last skeleton."
Blue burbled and grasped at the air.
"I thought so too... I found him in the human trash... but! He is no trash. He is a treasure to be hold." Papyrus's face came into view. His smile was as big as a gaster blaster.
"Ah- hes good to head home... but um... you may need to know somethin..."
"And what is that?" He asked in a baby talking voice as he picked up Blue and rubbed his nonexistent nose with Blue's.
"Um... I-I wasn't kidding when I said he was chock full of energy... in fact... so much so, he very well be the strongest monster we've ever seen since Queen Toriel... maybe even stronger." Blue felt him self being swaddled in Papyrus's arms as his face fell in shock. Undyne fixed her glasses nervously. "Your going to have to be extremely cautious when he is using his magic... he could kill you."
"... nah... I can dodge!" He held Blue up to his face again. "Isn't that right, huh Sans?" He asked in the baby voice.
Papyrus's face was stern and worried. There was an intruder. A skeleton at that. "What is your name!?" Blue watched from the Papyrus's arms.
"Ink." The intruder said, not a hint of emotion in his voice. "And I want him." Blue saw the finger point at him and he yelped, shoving his head into Papyrus's hoody.
"What do you want with Sans!? Papyrus's voice automatically became worried.
"He is the strongest Sans in the multiverse... I need him." Ink's voice was full of lust, it made Blue quiver in fear of what he would do.
"Over my dust."
Blue was crying. Loudly. Ink had killed Papyrus and taken Blue away. He left him on the front porch of a new house that looked like his old one. The door opened with a disgruntled looking skeleton. He looked like he was in the middle of a hangover. His face contorted in anger. "Why!! I don't want this!" He groaned grabbing Blue, less then careless and promptly dropped him on the couch. Blue yelped and bawled more. This was not his Papyrus. This was never going to be his brother.
Blue gasped back to reality. Nightmare was staring at him. "Did... did I just see that!?" Nightmare asked in a awed voice.
Blue nodded unable to speak. He saw a shadow in each and every single memories. A shadow that didn't belong. His thoughts became incoherent as the emotion became a tidal wave in his mind. Ink had stolen him from his own home and placed him in an abusive house hold, on purpose. He glitched, feeling his already alarmingly high hate towards Ink enhance. Pain and sadness washed through him first. Tears dribbled down his cheeks. He turned his head toward his new colleagues.
Each had their own expressions of knowingness at what Nightmare was doing. Each had gone through this. But none of them expected this to be the first thing Nightmare did. Normally he would wait. A few weeks at least, a few months at most, but the hour Blue joined? Each thought about the pain and negative thoughts and emotions that washed away when Nightmare did this. Admittedly, not as close as Blue was to to Nightmare, seeing as the goop monster was hugging him. No each had been close, but not like this. They had been next to him, in front of him. But this? No. They looked at each other with very smug knowing looks.
Blue looked away as fear and regret washed through as well fighting him with the sadness and pain. He fought back the urge to yell in anger. But Nightmare stood up with Blue in arms and walked down to the training grounds. He set Blue down in the middle of it, surrounded by weapons of all sorts and backed away.
"Let it out! Get angry! Get sad! Feel what you need to, to let it go." Nightmare said from the sidelines. Killer, Horror, Dust, and Cross where there too. But Blue didn't give a fuck. He was out of fucks to give. He looked at the weapons as anger over took everything in his mind. Hands swiftly grabbed the oversized mallet. He watched as the trio were running around setting up dummies and running off the mats that lined the floor of the gym. Blue felt exhilarated as he let his magic explode. He jumped up and smashed a fluffy dummy in one hit as though it was made of plastic. He jumped up and slammed the hammer into the nearest Dummy and sent it flying. Bones lifted from the ground and and flew in every direction, piercing dummies left and right. Even hitting Nightmare who was deflecting each of them. Blue felt his feet leave the floor as magic surged through his very being. He roared a scream of pure rage and agony, glitching black. The mats he no longer touched disintegrated around him. His mind clouded and he jumped on the nearest dummy and he ripped it to shreds with his bare hands. Pain spiked through him from his pelvis and ribs. He screamed again and fell to his knees. Tears streaming down his face as all that was left was despair. He punched the now bare wooden floor. He sat up and screamed his heart out. When he was done there was nothing left. No emotion. Just blank emptiness. Ready to be filled with something new. He closed his eye sockets and fell back into unconsciousness.
