Part - Vampire at Hogwarts

Escaping Umbridge

Riana's POV

After exams ended, Hermione, Ron and I went to search for Harry. When we found him, he told us he had a vision of Sirius being tortured by Voldemort in the Department of Mysteries. Which is impossible, how could of Voldemort and Sirius have gotten in there this time of day? The place would be crawling with ministry employees. But Harry insisted it was a real vision.

However, Hermione managed to convince Harry to check by floo if Sirius was at Grimmauld place or not. Luna and Ginny kept look out. While Ron and I went to distract Umbridge. While Hermione and Harry checked. Needless to say, things didn't go quite according to plan.

We were all caught along with Neville. Apparently he had tried to stop the inquisitorial squad from taking Ginny. Umbridge had known someone was in her office, due to same charms she had set up. Honestly, I'm surprised Hermione didn't think of that and check before they entered Umbridge's office.

All our wands we confiscated. She is now interrogating Harry. While her squad restrain the rest of us. Somehow I ended up with Draco as my guard. "My wand had better not be damaged Draco" I tell him.

"It's safe" he assures me as Umbridge slaps Harry. I glare at her. She thinks we were trying to contact Dumbledore. Why not tell her we were? It'd get this over with quicker, then we could leave. But I doubt we'd be able to keep our wands. We'll need them if Sirius is in danger.

Just then Snape appears. "You sent for me, Headmistress?" he asks Umbridge.

"Snape, yes. The time has come for answers, whether he wants to give them or not. Have you brought the Veritaserum?" she asks him.

"I'm afraid you have used up all my stores interrogating students. Unless you wish to poison Potter and I assure you, I would have the greatest sympathy if you did I cannot help you" Snape tells her.

"He's got Padfoot. He's got Padfoot at the place where it's hidden" Harry tells him. I guess Sirius is in danger. Well at least Snape knows and can alert the order.

"Padfoot? What is Padfoot? Where is what hidden? What is he talking about, Snape?" Umbridge demands.

"No idea" he lies. The leaves.

"Very well. You give me no choice, Potter. As this is an issue of Ministry Security, you leave me with no alternative. The Cruciatus Curse ought to loosen your tongue" Umbridges states.

"That's illegal!" Hermione and I state.

"What Cornelius doesn't know won't hurt him" she states. I scoff.

"You think you're so smart, you are an idiot" I tell her.

"What did you call me?" she demands.

"An idiot, and a fool. You really think you'll get away with torturing Harry? You really think none of us will talk? That Madame Pomfrey won't recognize Harry's symptoms? Even if you obilivate us all, how will you explain that to the public? You wouldn't just have the wizarding community to worry about if you do something to us" I tell her.

"What do you mean by that?" she demands.

"Just tell her Riana! If you don't, I will" Hermione tells me.

"We promised" I snap. Playing along.

"It's not worth our lives keeping it hidden" she tells me.

"What hidden?" Umbridge asks.

"Dumbledore's secret weapon" Hermione states. That had Umbridge hooked. She took Harry, Hermione and I into the forest. Where Hermione claimed the weapon is hidden. Leaving her squad to guard the others.

"How much farther?" Umbridge demands.

"Not far" Hermione tells her. "It had to be somewhere where students wouldn't find it accidentally" she explains. She is so good at lying.

"What are you two doing?" Harry asks in a whisper.

"Improvising, play along" I whisper back. We soon reach the place where Grawp was supposed to be. Only to discover him gone.

"Well, where is this weapon?" Umbridge asks us. I share a look with the other two, what do we do now? "There isn't one, is there? You were trying to trick me" she states.

"Not hard to do when you're an idiot" I sneer.

"You know, I really hate children" she tells us. Just then centaurs appear. Lead by Bane and Ronan. She hides behind us. "You have no business here, centaur! This is a ministry matter" she tells them and I scoff. The herd ready their weapons. "Lower your weapons! I warn you! Under the law as creatures of near-human intelligence" she insults them. One fires and she deflects the arrow. "How dare you! You filthy half-breed! Incarcerus!" she says.

Umbridge's spell takes a rope and chokes one centaur, making it writhe from the rope's grip, Hermione tries to help him. "That's it!" I snap. "Expelliarmus" I say and her wand flies into the air. I catch it as Grawp appears and grabs her. I release the centaur.  He surrounds Grawp with his herd as they try to shot Umbridge. "Enough!" I snap and the freeze.

"Grawp, let them have her" I tell him. He drops her and they grab her. "I thank you Ronan and Bane" I say.

"We have no wish to start a war with vampires" Bane states.

"You?!" Umbridge demands.

"Yes, me. I'm the part vampire that's been living under your nose all year" I tell her. "Consider this pay back for everything you've done against all of us half breeds as you call us" I tell her.

"Potter, do something! Tell them I mean no harm!" she shouts desperately.

"I'm sorry, Professor. But I must not tell lies" he tells her. She is carried away by the centaurs.

"I didn't know you could do wandless magic! That's really advance" Hermione states.

"I don't like to brag, besides that is a simple spell" I tell her. "Now we need to find a way to London to save Sirius. Any ideas?" I ask as I lead the way towards the edge of the forest.

"Not yet" Hermione states.

"Well we have to think of something" Harry tells us. Suddenly the others appear. They had managed to escape the squad. Thestrals then appeared drawn in by the scent of Grawp's blood of mine, Harry and Hermione's clothes. Enough appeared and we all decide to fly them to London. Lets hope we arrive in time to save Sirius.
