Part - Vampire at Hogwarts

Professor Slughorn Compartment

Riana's POV

So the rest of summer sucked. My grandfather was kidnapped by deatheaters and there was nothing I could do to get him back. Mainly because of the vampire council. But I also didn't know where he is being held or if he's even alive still. But my gut and heart tell me he is alive. And that we will see each other again one day. Just not when.

I've been running the shop the best I can. Trying to keep business a float. I managed to help all the first years find their wands. Even helped others looking for new wands or replacement wands. But I couldn't make or repair any wands as I am not a qualified wand maker yet. But I managed to keep the shop running for most of the summer. But only having customers come on dark days or at sunset so that my uncle & some other vampires could watch over me to ensure I was not taken.

I kept up with my studies on wand making and wandlore. Along with my studies on everything vampire. The book my uncle had help make was published. He got an interview with the Daily Prophet. I read it and the author was pretty spot on with his information and there was nothing biased about it. He told nothing but the truth. My uncle got a cut in the profits for the book.

Anyway, I didn't get to see any of my other friends all summer. Due to my work hours. But I still gt letters. Hermione told me she and the other two had popped into the store. I wish I could of talked to them. But I'll talk to them on the train.

I packed for the trip to the station and was escorted by my uncle and three other part vampires. I said good bye to them on the platform and boarded the train. I went to compartment V and saw Sean & Raquelle already there. I helped them with their trunks and then put mine in the luggage rack. "How was the rest of your summers?" I ask them.

"It was ok" Sean says with a shrug.

"Spent most of it inside" Raquelle pouts. "Because even with the truce, the council does not trust you know who" she states.

"He is not trustworthy" I tell her.

"How was your summer?" Sean asks. As the train starts to move.

"Horrible, my uncle was kidnapped by you know who" I tell them. They look shocked.

"Is he alive?" Raquelle asks and Sean elbows her. "What?" she asks.

"I don't know, I believe he is" I tell them. "Now when we get to Hogwarts I will lead you over to Hagrid, who will take you to the boats. It's how all first years get to the castle" I explain.

"Why can't we come with you?" Raquelle asks.

"It's a tradition" I state.

"Can't argue with that" Sean tells her. "How will you get there?" he asks.

"Carriage" I state. "Now once you arrive at the school you will be lead to the great hall and be sorted into your houses. Then there is the feast and afterwards a prefect will show you to your common room. If you are in my house, I will accompany you" I tell them. "Now try to avoid slytherins, some are children of deatheaters" I add.

"How will we know who slytherins are?" they ask.

"They'll be the students in green robes with a snake crest on their chest" I tell them.

"But what if we're in slytherin?" Raquelle asks.

"Then try to keep a low profile and I can give you a list of names to avoid" I state. "I have to go check on my friends, I will be back shortly" I assure them.

"We'll be fine" Sean assures me. I nod and leave. I soon find Harry with Ginny, Luna, and Neville. I join them.

"Any news on your grandfather?" Neville asks.

"No" I say sadly.

"How did your OWLs go?" Ginny asks.

"Oh I past everything" I state. "Got an E or O in everything" I add.

"Hermione got an O in everything except for Defense. She got an E in that" Harry tells me. "I also made quidditch captain" he states.

"Wow, congrats" I tell him. Hermione and Ron appeared. I spot to them all a little longer. Before leaving to return to the other two. "Who are your friends?" I ask curious.

"Alys and Grim Fawley" Raquelle answers with a smile.

"They're cousins" Sean adds. "Guys this is the girl we were telling you about, Raina " he tells them.

"A pleasure" Alys says with a smile.

"What house are you in?" Grim asks.

"Gryffindor, I'm a sixth year" I tell him. We all continue talking. Until Collin appears with a scroll for me.

"What is it?" Sean asks.

"A summons from a professor Slughorn to join him for lunch in compartment C. Well I better go see what he wants" I tell them. I leave and go to compartment C. Where I meet professor Slughorn and he introduced me to other students. I knew Ginny, Harry, and Neville. I even knew Blaise from slytherin. The others I did not know. But ones uncle invited the wolf's bane potion and the others was well connected at the ministry.

I left before the others and went back to compartment V. Where I changed into my robes. Then gave Sean and Raquelle a blood pop each. Then grab one for myself. "Can I have one?" Grim asks.

"Afraid not. They are blood pops" I tell him.

"Are you vampires?" Alys asks in awe.

"Part vampires, think you can keep that a secret?" I ask and she nods her head along with Grim. The rest of the train ride was uneventful. Though I could have sworn I smelt a hint of blood as we left the train. But I must of imagined it as the other two smelt nothing. I dropped them off at Hagrid. Before joining the others at the carriages. "Where's Harry?" I ask the others.

"Never returned from lunch" Ron states. I frown in confusion. We board the carriage and went to the school. Where we were all checked with secrecy sensors by Mr Filch. Before being allowed into the grounds. We then all went to the great hall and took our seats. Raquelle and Sean were sorted into gryffindor. While their two friends were sorted into hufflepuff. I assured them they could still be friends and will have classes together.

Harry appeared covered in blood which I cleaned up. The rest of the feast was uneventful. Dumbledore gave his start of term speech. Introducing Slughorn as the new potions professor and Snape as the new defense teacher. Before dismissing us. I went with Hermione to show the first year gryffindors to the common room. While Ron stayed with Harry.
