Riana's POV

It's been several days since the fight at the ministry. I'm currently in the hospital wing with the others. We'd all been released except for Hermione and Ron. Hermione is currently reading the Daily Prophet. "In a brief statement on Friday night, Minister for Magic Cornelius Fudge confirmed that He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named has returned to this country and is once more active" she reads.

"It is with great regret that I must confirm that the wizard styling himself Lord--well, you know who I mean--is alive and among us again," said Fudge, looking tired and flustered as he addressed reporters. "It is with almost equal regret that we report the mass revolt of the dementors of Azkaban, who have shown themselves averse to continuing in the Ministry's employ. We believe the dementors are currently taking direction from Lord-- Thingy.

"We urge the magician population to remain vigilant. The Ministry is currently publishing guides to elementary home and personal defense which will be delivered free to all wizarding homes within the coming month. "

The Minister's statement was met with dismay and alarm from the wizarding community, which as recently as last Wednesday was receiving Ministry assurances that there was "no truth whatsoever in these persistent rumours that You-Know-Who is operating amongst us once more"

Details of the events that led to the Ministry turnaround are still hazy, though it is believed that He Who Must Not Be Named and a select band of followers (known as Death Eaters) gained entry to the Ministry of Magic itself on Thursday evening.

Albus Dumbledore, newly reinstated Headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, reinstated member of the International Confederation of Wizards and reinstated Chief Warlock of the Wizengamot, has so far been unavailable for comment. He has insisted over the past year that You-Know-Who is not dead, as was widely hoped and believed, but is recruiting followers once more for afresh attempt to seize power. Meanwhile, the "Boy Who Lived"

"About time you were mentioned" I state.

"He's the "boy who lived" again now, though, isn't he? Not such a deluded show-off any more, eh?'" Ron asks. He helped himself to a handful of Chocolate Frogs from the immense pile on his bedside cabinet, threw a few to Harry, Ginny and Neville and ripped off the wrapper of his own with his teeth. While I enjoy my blood pop.

"Yes, they're very complimentary about you now, Harry" Hermione states. "A lone voice of truth. Perceived as unbalanced, yet never wavered in his story, forced to bear ridicule and slander. I notice they don't mention the fact that it was them doing all the ridiculing and slandering in the Prophet" she states. She winces in pain, so I take the prophet to continue where she left off.

"You-Know-Who's Last Attempt to Take Over, pages two to four, What the Ministry Should Have Told Us, page five, Why Nobody Listened to Albus Dumbledore, pages six to eight, Exclusive Interview with Harry Potter, page nine" I list.

"It's certainly given them lots to write about. And that interview with Harry isn't exclusive, it's the one that was in The Quibbler months ago" Hermione states.

"Daddy sold it to them" Luna states as I fold up the prophet. "He got a very good price for it, too, so we're going to go on an expedition to Sweden this summer to see if we can catch a Crumple-Horned Snorkack" she explains.

"That sounds lovely" Hermione tells her. "So, anyway, what's going on in school?" she asks us.

"Nothing much" I tell her.

"Flitwick's got rid of Fred and George's swamp, he did it in about three seconds. But he left a tiny patch under the window and he's roped it off" Ginny explains.

"Why?" Hermione asks.

"Oh, he just says it was a really good bit of magic" she states.

"Which it was" I agree.

"I think he left it as a monument to Fred and George" Ron states. "They sent me all these, you know. Must be doing all right out of that joke shop" he adds.

"So has all the trouble stopped now Dumbledore's back?" Hermione asks.

"Yes, everything's settled right back to normal" Neville states. They then start talking about Filch and Umbridge. Who is at the other end of the hospital wing. Ron with his tongue he made soft clip-clopping noises. Umbridge sat bolt upright, looking around wildly.

"Anything wrong, Professor?" Madame Pomfrey asks as she sticks her head out of her office.

"No, I must have been dreaming" Umbridge mutters. Hermione and Ginny muffled their laughter in the bedclothes. I just chuckle. The others then talk about divination. How Firenze and Trelawney will be splitting classes next year. Harry then left saying he was going to see Hagrid.

"So Riana, were you in big trouble?" Hermione asks me.

"I'm not allowed to talk to any of you over the summer, unless we bump into each other. And they are increasing my study time" I state. "They've been in contact with Voldemort who assured them all who hurt me would be severely punished. Trying to get back in their good graces, so that they don't join Dumbledore" I explain. "Currently we're still neutral" I state.

"So what does that mean?" Ron asks me.

"It means I can't help you with the fight publicly anymore. But know I am on your side even though I can't fight" I state. "I have some books to return" I add and get up. "See you guys later" I tell them.

(Time skip)

It's been five days since the world found out officially about Voldemort's return. And the second war officially began. Now it's time for us all to return home for the summer. Gryffindor only won the house cup by a handful of points. Thanks to McGonagall. We're on our way to the train.

"I've been thinking about something Dumbledore said to me" Harry tells us.

"What's that?" Hermione asks him.

"That even though we've got a fight ahead of us, we've got one thing that Voldemort doesn't have" Harry states.

"Yeah?" Ron asks him.

"What's that?" I ask him.

"Something worth fighting for" he states and we all smile. We board the train and get a compartment together. My uncle was at the station when I arrived. I said goodbye to the others, wishing them a good summer. Then grab my uncle's arm and we disappear. We appear home.

"The council has a new job for you" he tells me.

"Job?" I ask.

"Two new part-vampires will be starting at Hogwarts next year. They'll be your responsibility" he states. "They are twins" he adds.

"Great, I look forward to it" I state. "I'm gonna go unpack and start my lessons" I tell him. He nods his head in approval. Reminding me I start helping my grandfather at the shop tomorrow. I nodded and go to my room. As I start to read the book on vampire families, I wonder what next year will bring. With the whole world knowing the truth. Who'd be our new defense teacher. Many questions, but I can't think about that. I need to live in the present and focus on appeasing the vampire council. And helping my grandfather at the shop this summer. It'll be busy.
