Riana's POV
"So you don't burn in the sun" Draco says.
"I can sun burn easily, but not as bad as a full blooded vampire" I state.
"Were you... I mean how are you..." he says unsure.
"How am I part vampire?" I offer and he nods his head. "I was born this way" I state. "My mother was a witch, she was my dad's beloved. They fell in love, got married and had me. Mum died giving birth to me. Dad couldn't live without his beloved and died. Leaving only my uncle and grandfather to raise me" I state.
"Beloved?" he asks.
"Mate, as in soul mate" I tell him. "Or blood singer if one is human" I add.
"So do you have any other vampire traits? Do you drink blood?" he asks me.
"I'm severely allergic to garlic" I tell him. "As for blood, I need fresh blood once a month to stay healthy. I drink from blood bags provided by Madame Pomfrey. I have blood pops when I need to cool off or take the edge off in between blood bags" I explain.
"So it was a blood pop you and Adrian had the night of the Yule Ball" he says.
"Yes, Ron was being a brat and making me mad" I tell him.
"So are Adrian and Maria soulmates?" he asks me.
"Yes" I answer simply.
"What about you? Have you found yours?" he asks me.
"That's complicated" I tell him.
"How so? Does he not know?" he asks me curious. Though I see some sadness in his eyes.
"Oh he knows, I just don't know how he feels about being friends with me now. Let alone telling him about us being destined for each other" I tell him. "But it doesn't matter, because no matter if he has trouble with it. We'll find our way back to each other" I state.
"You sound so sure" he says.
"Mates can't fight the pull, no matter how hard they try. It may hurt me to be apart from him. But it's worth it knowing he'll come back one day. Even if it takes years" I state.
"I can't believe how much faith you have in a guy" he states.
"He's not just a guy, he's my one" I say with a smile. "How would you feel if your one was not a pureblood witch?" I ask him.
"Doesn't really matter what I think, I'm already engaged" he states. I hold my a cry of pain and tears. "It was arranged before I started school, I don't know who she is. But once we both graduate, we'll marry" he explains.
"An arranged marriage?" I ask.
"Yes, it's tradition in my mum's family. But she always said if I fell in love, she'd annul marriage contract" he states. I smile gently, there's a chance. "Anyway we were talking about you, who's the guy?" he asks me curious.
"No one you have to worry about" I tell him. If we're going to be together. I want him to fall for me before I tell him that we're mates. I don't want him to feel pressured. I want our relationship to form naturally.
"So that ball you went was a..." he starts to say.
"Was a vampire ball" I say with a smile. "Only vampires, beloveds and special guests" I tell him. "Strict invite only" I state.
"No wonder I've never heard of it" he states. "So all the humans who went were mates?" he asks me curious.
"Most of them yes, some were special guests. One being an author doing a book on vampires. My uncle is showing him our world" I explain.
"I can't imagine a world full of vampires" he tells me.
"There's more of us that you might think" I tell him. "We may not be immortal, but we can live for a couple of hundred years. Full blood vampires longer then Dhampirs" I tell him.
"Dhampirs?" he asks confused.
"Vampire term for part vampires like myself" I tell him.
"Oh" he says and looks at the horizon. "Who else knows?" he asks me curious.
"The staff, aside from Moody. Hermione, Harry and Ron" I state.
"Why not Moody?" he asks me curious.
"Dumbledore has never told the defense teacher as they never stay for longer then a year. My family has tried to keep me being a part vampire secret" I tell him. "Only because of people like Umbridge" I state.
"Yeah, she does not like half breeds" he states.
"That's putting it mildly" I tell him. "She's going after werewolves currently, but I hear she planning on making a motion to make the centaurs territory smaller. Which will anger them, it's only a matter of time before she goes after my kind" I state.
"I'm sorry" he says sheepishly.
"Not your fault, but you could make a difference you know in future. Your family name has a lot of sway. You could help a lot of people" I tell him.
"I'm only one guy Riana and I was raised to..." he starts to says.
"To loath anyone not a pureblood" I finish. "Yet you're friends with half-blood wizards in your house. Sure they aren't werewolves or vampires. But they aren't purebloods like you" I state. "Muggle-borns and half-breeds aren't inferior, yet we're constantly ridiculed and looked down upon. Because of laws pure bloods make, it only takes one to make a difference" I tell him.
"Look you've learnt a lot today and I have to go see Madame Pomfrey. Please think about what I've said. I hope we can stay friends" I tell him. Before leaving the tower. I go have a blood bag. Before going to lunch, where I sit with the trio.
